Application

Application Rules:
-Certain characters canonically have great influence over dimensional travel (such as Yuuko from xxxHolic or one of the Data Integration Thought Entity humanoid interfaces from Haruhi Suzumiya, i.e. Yuki and Ryoko) will have a greater influence in the setting than normal, or are just extremely high-powered and can potentially affect the game in major ways. Playing one often requires some special plot integration, and require a player to have established themselves by playing another character before they will be accepted.

-AU settings are generally allowed on a case-to-case basis, but no more than one of the same character can be a permanent member of Planeocracy. If the AU is significantly different and established (such as the Genderbend of Haruhi Suzumiya) then it is generally allowed, as the characters are different enough from the main source to be distinct. Apping an AU character uses the standard application procedure, but if the AU doesn't meet our requirements, we may deny them on that basis. Here are the qualifications for if your AU is acceptable:

1. Significantly different from the source material. Minor tweaks to history and/or personality don't make an AU different enough to really be worth accepting for us. For an AU to be accepted it needs to have something major different to differentiate it from the canon.
2. Internally consistent. In most cases you'll be coming up with the AU yourself, so you need to make sure it all makes sense within the setting. So, if something changes, the whole setting obviously has to change as a result, and we need to know how.
3. This isn't absolutely necessary, but if at all possible the character will look at least somewhat different from their canon counterpart. This is primarily to help differentiate if we have both.

If you are thinking of apping an AU of a character, please get a hold of all potential castmates as well as any person playing the same character (if this is applicable). This is required for your application to be accepted.

-Original characters are permitted, they use the same application form but require far more detail as far as background and setting. If they are a part of an existing canon, they cannot have any ties to actual canonical characters or visible connection to events (attributing events in-canon to the character that are otherwise unattributed may be permissible but is generally discouraged). As with canon characters, you are limited to two OCs, even if the OCs are from different universes. Planeocracy canon originals can use any of the settings posted in the setting information post that specifically say they are open, and must conform to the general concepts of the world. It is HIGHLY advised to speak to the mod team before making the character, these characters can be rejected automatically if they do not follow the general concepts of the established world.

-You may only have one application in queue at a time. If you would like to submit a second app, you must wait until your first has been processed.

Application Template:
Looked over the community? Brushed up on all 31,561,021 Confuto Ordinatio rules and regulations? Filled out all your forms in triplicate? Looks like you're ready to get that Gate Key! Just fill out the following form and submit it to the Executive Subcommittee of Other-Planar Affairs! That Gate Key should be yours in 5-7 business days!

The following is an alternate form that can be used in place of a musebox sample post. It takes the form of an application and interview as if the character were applying for a job. Respond to the questions in-character, if you or your character doesn't know what they're asking for indicate it in some way. The character can lie if doing so is in character, but indicate they are doing it by writing "[LIE]" before the answer to the question.

Chika app 1/2

[personal profile] scatterflower 2010-02-11 03:46 am (UTC)(link)
Player Name: Mags
Personal LJ: [livejournal.com profile] custom_magnum
Contact Info: Magnum Gamma
Character Name: Chika Daimon
Canon: Digimon Savers

Background: http://digimon.wikia.com/wiki/Kristy_Damon – Says Kristy due to dub names, but using original name because I like it better.

Setting Information: The World of Digimon Savers was already explained in Masaru's app

Portal Location: DATS HQ, third floor broom closet

Personality: Chika is a kind hearted young woman who hates to see fighting happening but hates to see injustice in the world happening even more. While she'd almost always look for a peaceful solution to conflicts that are going on, she will not hesitate to defend herself and others if there is no other choice. She is very open with her feelings, wearing her heart on her sleeve and being very vocal about whatever it is that she wants... expect when it comes to potential romance, which will leave her a blushing, stammering mess and confuse the hell out of her.

However, in the last five years since she had last seen her brother, she has harbored a massive grudge against him for leaving her. As such, the thought of seeing her brother again quickly turns into violent daydreams. Still, even if she did reunite with her brother, there wouldn't be that much violence going on. At least, nothing that would cause him permanent harm, anyway. Well, permanent physical harm...

Okay, so when Chika does get mad, she gets mad like hell and holds a grudge for a good long time. It'd probably be best to not piss this cute highschool girl off that much.

Reason for Joining: Chika joined the organization to protect the worlds from colliding like her world and the Digital World did almost five years ago.

Position Desired: Agent

Point in Canon: Post-Epilogue

Notes: Chika is around 16, as she's from later in the timeline than Masaru is. She is also partnered to Piyomon, and can evolve him into higher forms of power or 'levels'. Namely, she has access to both Aquilamon and Garudamon for Piyomon's higher level forms, but it'd also be possible under dire enough circumstances for her to possibly have Piyomon evolve to the Ultimate level as well, but only after a significant amount of training to focus her digisoul.

Digisoul is the power of emotions given tangible form, and in addition to allowing her to evolve Piyomon, it can also be used to briefly augment her strength for a fight, allowing her to stand toe-to-toe with things that a young woman like her would usually have no right trying to do it. Just like the insane things her brother and father both ended up doing during the series.

I'm also using a little bit of fanon for Chika's backstory in this RP, namely that after she started highschool, the barriers between Earth and the Digital World started to break down again, with a few digimon slipping through into the Real World, including Piyomon. Because of this, DATS ended up being restarted, and Chika and Piyomon joined it after being reunited and officially became partners. However, nothing majorly earth-shattering happened in her world for her to worry about yet. Figured I'd keep it out of the Background section so you'd know exactly what was canon and what wasn't.

Character Name: Ruby
Canon: Pokémon Special

Background: http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Ruby_%28Adventures%29 (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Ruby_%28Adventures%29)

Setting Information: http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Pok%C3%A9mon_world (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Pok%C3%A9mon_world)
http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Hoenn (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Hoenn)

Portal Location: Fallharbor Town, in the Pokémon Contest building.

Personality: On the outside, Ruby seems to be a shallow, self-absorb person who only cares about beauty. He's constantly showing off his Pokémon and their achievements, and spends an incredible amount of time grooming them to look their best. He even goes as far as to make them clothes to wear! In addition to making his Pokémon clothes, Ruby with his sewing and knitting skills he makes his own outfits as well as Sapphire's. He's vain enough to wear his contacts most of the time instead of his glasses, and detests getting dirty.

But he isn't stubborn enough to realize when he's wrong and will go out of his way to apologize. And isn't shy about sticking up for the people he cares about or his Pokémon. Ruby will also go out of his way to do what he can to protect the people he cares for, even if it means locking them into a car to keep them out of danger. And although he did confess his feelings to Sapphire, he claims to have forgotten during the fight against their opponent/is playing dumb because he's embarrassed and doesn't want to deal with said embarassment.

His passions are Pokémon contests, sewing, beauty, making Poké blocks, and photography. And while he is extremely good at battling, he prefers not to as he believes it is barbaric and doesn't want his Pokémon to get dirty. Unless he can't help it. Even then, Ruby prefers to battle in secret to not show people how strong he is. But once in battle, he becomes super serious and intense. He isn't lacking in the knowledge department either. Just by observing his opponents he is able to read their moves and know their temperament to give him the edge.

Reason for Joining: Once he found out what Sapphire was doing, he wasn't about to leave her alone. That, and he is always on a constant search for beauty.

Position Desired: Agent

Point in Canon: I'll take him from the same time as Sapphire, so a couple of months after the Emerald Arc.

Notes: Ruby is bringing in his pokemon team, which consist of a Delcatty (Coco), a Mightyena (Nana), a Swampert (Zuzu), a Castform (Popo), a Milotic (Mimi), and a Kirlia (Ruru). He also has to have his sewing and make-up kit with him, as he'd be utterly useless without being able to make his pokemon look beautiful.

ARCHE KLEIN [1/2]

[identity profile] trademarkribbon.livejournal.com 2010-02-12 07:49 am (UTC)(link)
Player Name: Sheepy
Character Name: Arche Klein
Canon: Tales of Phantasia

Background: Wiki article (http://aselia.wikia.com/wiki/Arche_Klein)

Setting Information: ToP wiki (http://aselia.wikia.com/wiki/Tales_of_Phantasia) and a little info on Aselia (http://aselia.wikia.com/wiki/Aselia)

Portal Location: Ymir Forest, 100 years in the past.

Personality: Arche is a rather rambunctious girl who isn't afraid of speaking her mind and saying exactly what she's thinking at the time. Described as fiery by her friends, she's a fun person to be around. Well, unless of course you get on her bad side. The only person that we ever see pick on her is Chester, and she gives him heck every chance she's able. She's also known to be just a little boastful about her magic as well, coming naturally to her even though she's only a half-elf.

She is also somewhat of a flirt and likes guys quite a bit, and it isn't at all beyond her to call them cute or tease them a little bit, using her cuteness to her advantage. It is also implied that she may not be as "innocent" as Mint, the healer of their party is, but that has yet to be proved. The most frequent receiver of her affection? Why Cless of course! He's just so cute~

Despite being somewhat of a brat at times, Arche is a tried and true friend, and the people that she cares for are taken care of. Going so far as to let a friend of hers that had been killed use her body to fulfill her dying wish, then giving Rhea a proper burial, she would do the same for anyone else that she becomes close with. Even Mint, who is sweet on Cless (who she has a crush on at the beginning of the game, but seems to fall out of love with as time progresses), and Chester sometimes, who picks on her to no end. Her friends are her life and she would gladly give her own in order to make sure that they are safe and happy.

Reason for Joining: Being a hero is kind of a nice thing, and since she's already there, she may as well do something. Also, going to different worlds might be interesting! That and she might get a chance to see her friends again, which is always a plus. Also, cute guys.

Position Desired: Agent

Point in Canon: End game.

Notes: I'll be using the SNES translation for names of countries and places, so changes are as follows:

Cress = Cless
Claus = Klarth
Aseria = Aselia
Midgards = Midgard

Thomas 1/?

[identity profile] robindaybird.livejournal.com 2010-02-15 07:07 am (UTC)(link)
Player Name: Shini
Character Name: Thomas
Canon: Suikoden 3

Background: Thomas was the son of Lowma, a Zexan Councilman and his mother, a woman from the Nameless states. The man abandoned his mother before he was born, and for most of his life he grew up without knowing who his father was. He had a quiet, albeit lonely life until one horrible, tragic day. Thomas’ mother was a merchant, and while they were heading home from a business trip they were suddenly attacked by Grasslands bandits and his mother was fatally wounded. With her last breath, she told him to take her ring, and a letter she hidden at home to Zexan and then she told him his father’s name.

So the young man did, and received a cold welcome from a man who viewed him as a liability and called his mother a ‘Barbarian Whore’. He had the deed to Budehuc Castle (a known sinkhole where unwanted sons are sent to be forgotten), and expected nothing more.

Except he hadn’t counted on Thomas befriending the residents, or that he had enough business-savvy to come up with a plan to keep it from falling to pieces. As news began to spread that the Lake Castle picked up business without going through the bribe-heavy Council’s approval they wanted him out. They did not count on the amount of allies that Thomas picked up during his recruitment for merchants, and his hospitality to anyone who drops by – including Zexan’s own Knights, the son of a Grassland’s Chief, and a Harmonian Mercenary group. With help from everyone Thomas finally claimed the castle as his own.

Once he got that matter settled, he had turned his attention to the much larger threat that had been looming in the background and assisted in the Second Firebringer’s War with his Castle as the base of Operations.

The Baron

[identity profile] baroncompetence.livejournal.com 2010-02-15 07:24 am (UTC)(link)
Player Name: Prof
Character Name: Baron Klaus Wulfenbach
Canon: Girl Genius

Background:
http://girlgenius.wikia.com/wiki/Baron_Klaus_Wulfenbach

Setting Information:
An alternate Earth, differing from ours in a number of ways. First, there are some vague supernatural elementas and various geopolitical changes, but the most important difference is The Spark, which can be read about here (http://girlgenius.wikia.com/wiki/Spark).

Portal Location:
Mechanicsburg, near Castle Wulfenbach.

Personality:
Wulfenbach is not particularly fond of his fellow men, and seldom makes much of an effort to hide this. He is firmly of the believe that people as a whole will, if left to their own devices, act selfishly and only for their own immediate short-term benefit. Thus, people need a good leader. Like himself. Klaus doesn't exactly enjoy being in a position of power, so much as he prefers it to the alternative. For the aforementioned reasons, he finds politics tiresome, but necessary, and gravitates towards the top of the metaphorical ladder out of some kind of unconscious sense of obligation.

Klaus is polite when it is necessary, and is blunt and direct when it is not. His patience for incompetence is extremely short, and those working under him who don't pull their weight have a tendency to quickly regret it. Punishments are doled out instantly when deserved. Attempts to misdirect his wrath usually fail, as the Baron is very good at reading people and catching lies.

The other side of Klaus is visible in the laboratory - after all, he's a Spark. In the face of mad science, Klaus changes completely, being overcome with a thirst for absolute knowledge and understanding. He doesn't shy away from more unscrupulous methods, such as testing dangerous procedures on his enemies, and will tear a man apart just to see how he works.

Reason for Joining:
If this job's gotta get done, then by God, it's gonna get done right.

Position Desired: Councilor.

Point in Canon:
During the time in which he believes Agatha to be dead, thus making him less reluctant to leave home.

Notes: Warning, SCIENCE.

Reisen Udongein Inaba 1/2

[identity profile] pet-moonrabbit.livejournal.com 2010-02-16 08:04 am (UTC)(link)
Player Name: Floogy
Character Name: Reisen Udongein Inaba
Canon: Touhou Project

Background: http://touhou.wikia.com/wiki/Reisen_Udongein_Inaba

Setting Information: You have Gensokyo information already

Portal Location: Somewhere in the bamboo forest outside of Eientei.

Personality:
For the most part, Reisen is one of the more levelheaded individuals in Gensokyo. Kind of ironic, given her insanity inducing eyes.

She'll worry about those she cares about if they go off on their own unannounced, going after them to make sure they are able to return safely. Depending on the situation, she can be forceful and it could devolve into a danmaku battle. Especially if it's Tewi.

Due to her being rather sane compared to most Touhou characters, Reisen is actually one of the more difficult to provoke into a fight. This might make her come off as a sort of 'woobie', though that sort of behavior really only comes out around Eirin and Kaguya.

Speaking of those two, she is very loyal to Eirin and the Princess. Reisen is a very hard working individual, as she takes care of numerous chores around Eientei. That's not to say she exactly enjoys it, as she often gets after Tewi for just playing around and slacking. Still, she'll gladly help her Master with any of her lab work.

Though Reisen is technically the leader of the rabbits in Gensokyo, it's rather obvious that the moon rabbit herself wasn't trained as a leader of any sort. She is usually incapable of making them follow orders, though this might be mainly because they mostly listen to Tewi.

Though Reisen can come off as unflappable, the right situation (generally embarrassing ones) can easily make her flustered. In these cases, she often stutters and makes a mess of what she's trying to say. People she knows have an easier time of getting this kind of response, though even recent acquaintances can get something of a reaction out of her if they have the right thing to say.

Reason for Joining: Clearly, Eirin believes that the matters of the multiverse are serious business and sends Reisen to assist with the problem when the moon rabbit tells her about it.

Position Desired: Reisen is totally Agent material.

Point in Canon: After Touhou 12.3 / Touhou Hisoutensoku (clearly this doesn’t mean much since she hasn’t appeared in a storyline since 10.5, but it brings her close to present time (year 2009))

Notes: You can look at my journal for samples from Netherworld, too.

Sample Post:
Name: Reisen Udongein Inaba
Gender: Female
Age: Early sixties (I’m sorry; I don’t even know my birthday)
Home Plane Identification Number: I’m sorry, I wasn’t given this.
Visitor Identification Number: I wasn’t given this either… I’m sorry.

Reason for requisitioning a Gate Key: To fulfill my duties as an agent.

Intended use of the Gate Key: The same as above?

Favorite Color: I don’t really have one…

Measurements (Female applicants only): *attached is a document from Eirin detailing more than you possibly need to know about Reisen’s measurements*

Relevant World-Shattering Abilities: I don’t think any of my abilities are considered ‘earth shattering’.

Relevant Non-World-Shattering Abilities: My eyes are able to induce insanity, sanity, or lethargy. I’m also able to use danmaku and spell cards which you should already be familiar with, since you already have others from Gensokyo here…

Psychiatric Evaluation Code: I wasn’t given one of these…

Hobbies: I like making tea…? I don’t really have any hobbies. I’m usually kept a little busy for things like that…

Education Background: Approximately fifteen years of military training in the Lunar Defense Corps, and around forty years of medical training under Eirin Yagokoro.

Work Experience: As far as actual military experience, aside from the training exercises under Watatsuki-sama’s direction, I was defending the moon against the Apollo 11 Invasion and the Lunar War.
Medically, I have assisted Master Eirin with a number of operations as well as helping manufacture her medicine.

Favorite Plant and/or Animal: Rabbits.

Guybrush Threepwood

[identity profile] big-whoop.livejournal.com 2010-02-16 08:37 am (UTC)(link)
Player Name: [livejournal.com profile] dragomorph
Character Name: Guybrush Threepwood
Canon: Monkey Island

Background: I could write out everything I wrote in the last app I wrote, but screw that. (http://www.miwiki.net/Guybrush_Threepwood)

Setting Information: OSTENSIBLY, the setting of Monkey Island is an undisclosed place Deep in the Caribbean sometime during the 17th Century. However, there are a great deal of anachronisms that throw the timeline of the place out of sync, such as Grog machines, amusement parks with roller coasters, and "shoddy 17th century wiring." So while the general feel of the place is around this time period, it is perfectly all right to play fast and loose with it. Magic is pretty much entirely in the realm of voodoo and contact with the spirits, though there are not a lot of specifics; otherwise, most people within the setting are more or less baseline human, with the exception of the one confirmed non-human race, the Vaycaylians, which are an androgynous race of merfolk.

Portal Location: The alley between the church and the general store on Melee Island.

Personality: Guybrush is, to put it politely, not the most stellar example of a hero in existence. He's self-absorbed, vaguely egostical, and naive to a fault, his own clumsiness and lack of foresight often causing even BIGGER problems than what he initially meant to solve. His motivations revolve primarily around himself and whatever he needs to get his goals achieved, and often times this results in dragging in other innocents -- or, really, usually semi-innocents, considering they're mostly pirates -- into his messes. When it comes to any real danger to himself, he often cops out, trying to find the sneakiest method possible to solve his problems. This often tends to be rather convoluted, to say the least.

All of this, put together, would suggest that he is not a good person, but that's far from the truth. Yes, he's often oblivious to the needs of others, but in general he means well, even if he IS obsessed with being a pirate. And while his goals revolve around himself, those goals often involve maintaining things he has grown to love and cherish. Give him something worth protecting and he will typically put his heart and soul into it, whether it be the pirate way of life, the safety of the Caribbean, or -- most importantly -- his lovely wife of several years, Elaine Marley-Threepwood. In addition, years of experience HAS managed to garner him something of a reputation in the Caribbean, enough to at least have ONE person who followed his exploits. He is still very naive and short-sighted, but he HAS developed over the years, becoming a fairly accomplished sword fighter and adventurer. And, being a pirate, his sneaky ways DO come in handy, as his capacity for lateral thinking is unparalleled. (He's still terrible at math, though.)

Recent events have helped him develop a greater sense of gravity than he used to have; he's seen the other side, after all, and experienced darker aspects to the world he had not truly experienced up to this point, which is ironic considering he's a pirate. But he's still the same goofy, seemingly unthreatening flooring inspector lookalike in many respects -- even though he's got a beard now.

Player Name: AJ/zferolie/ [personal profile] zferolie
Character Name: Asagi
Canon: Nippon Ichi

Background: http://disgaea.wikia.com/wiki/Asagi

Setting Information: Asgai comes from a world that no longer exists/was never published. She spends her time traveling the different Nippon Ichi worlds, trying to find her game, or to steal the main character spot from others. She has been seen most in the Disgaea worlds, but first Appear in the Makai Kingdom world. She was also seen in the Soul Nomad world. How Asagi can travel to all these different places is never explained. One reason is that she got some sort of power from Zetta, that lets her travel these worlds.

Portal Location: Since she the world she is from is gone/never published, Asagi found this one in the Disgaea Universe. It was in the Netherworld book store, next to the books on "How to be a better Main CHaracter".

Personality: Asagi has had a rough life. She has had her game canceled, she was forced to work for a book, and when she thought she might have gotten a game, Baal stole it from her. As such, she thinks the world is out to get her. She is very paranoid, and if she even thinks you are trying to steal her game, or take her role as main character, she will attack you. Though after she loses, she gets depressed and starts crying, saying she will never find her own game, and the programmers are just toying with her, making her a gag character.

Saying Asagi is obsessed with being a main character would be a huge understatement. Her whole life and existence revolves on her finding her own game and becoming a main character. Because of this, she talks about main characters, plot points, extra bosses, and anything else game related constantly, and anyone who isn't from a world with 4th wall breaking will think she is crazy. She also Studies from books on how to be a main character, plays games to see what the best main character would be, and even tries to hack the programing of the game she is in to max out her levels, all to make her a better main character. She often will reference other games, but not by exact name. An example of this is Asagi went ant played some fighting games(most likely Dead or Alive) and found that the females should have huge boobs. So, she ate a mushroom(Mario) to make her boobs grow big. This did not work of course.

While Asagi deep down is a good person who just wants her own game, she can have moments when she acts like a bad guy, and just starts bad mouthing other main characters. In Soul Nomad, she acted like a bad guy, because she just thought that maybe she needed to change her image, and a bad ass main character would help her chances in getting her own game. In the Prinny games, she is shown to have burst of anger, yelling at the prinny on how he's just a god damn demon and he got lucky in getting that role. She then snaps out of it, wondering where that anger came from.

Reason for Joining: Asagi see's this as an opportunity to become a main character. No more does she have to hop from game to game, trying to find her main character role. She feels that she can show the world how amazing she can be, and can experience what it feels like to be a main character on all these missions. Her dream is someone will notice her, and make a game based off her exploits.

Position Desired: Agent would be best

Point in Canon: Since Asagi's canon is, well, just her guest appearances so it's hard to tell what officially happens, I am going to say it is during the Prinny PSP game, before she blows up and dies.

Notes: Just warning people that while she might not recognize any non-Nippon Ichi people, she might say she has seen someone like you in a game or anime. Also, she has convinced herself that she is the main character, or deserves to be the main character, and this will have her clash with people at times.

Character Name: Terra Branford
Canon: Final Fantasy VI

Background: Here! (http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Terra_Branford)

Setting Information: This was submitted when Locke Cole joined.

Portal Location: Just outside of Narshe.

Personality: A quiet, mysterious woman, Terra is the only half-human half-Esper in existence. While that allowed her to be born with the gift of magic, it has also left her wondering if she could ever truly love another because of her dual nature. Love is something that is very important to Terra, and she focuses on it and wonders about it so much that when she finally does find love, she doesn't even realize it. The feeling that seemed so obscure and aloof to her was inside her all along, and when she finds this out it makes her into a very strong woman with ever-growing confidence and power.

Before she finds that love, however, Terra often seems confused and lost. When Locke first meets her, she has no memory of anything other than her name, and as fragments of what the Empire put her through come back to her, it only makes her more afraid and unsure. First the resistance tries to recruit her, and she agrees... then suddenly she finds herself working with the Empire again, even though she had fully remembered what they had done to her. Her confusion is understandable, but it still bothers her as she tries to find answers.

Even before she learns that she is half-Esper, Terra understood that she was different. When Edgar hits on her, instead of being flattered or even upset by his advances, she barely reacts at all. She understands that a normal woman probably would have felt something for the handsome king, but she is very aware that she is hardly normal.

Despite knowing that she is different and fearing her power, Terra uses it when she must. As she fled Figaro with Locke and Edgar, she didn't hesitate to attack their pursuers with magic. It isn't until she transforms into an Esper for the first time that she realizes just what she is capable of and what her nature truly is, and until she is reunited with her Esper father Maduin she is so terrified of herself that she falls into a coma. She gains confidence once she learns who and what she is, and the acceptance from her companions also strengthens her.

Reason for Joining: To learn more about magic in all worlds and to hopefully learn more about herself in the process.

Position Desired: Agent.

Point in Canon: Right before heading to the Sealed Gate.

Notes: None that I can think of!

Player Name: Rae | [livejournal.com profile] aircrash
Character Name: Chie Satonaka
Canon: Persona 4

Background: Persona 4 at Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shin_Megami_Tensei:_Persona_4#Plot) and Megami Tensei Wiki (http://megamitensei.wikia.com/wiki/Persona_4); Chie at Megami Tensei Wiki (http://megamitensei.wikia.com/wiki/Chie_Satonaka).

Setting Information: See above? There’s also some P4 canonmates already running around, I believe.

Portal Location: The door to Chinese Diner Aiya.

Personality: Chie is extremely friendly, outgoing, and energetic; she’s shown to make friends quickly - in fact, it’s Chie, not Yosuke Hanamura, who becomes (the Protagonist) Souji Seta’s first friend in his new town. She’s pretty cheerful, for the most part - definitely ranking as more of an optimist than a pessimist - but she does have something of a short emotional fuse. Chie’s quick to anger, quick to cry, quick to panic, but also fairly quick to get over it; she’s not the type to hold grudges or throw herself into long, drawn-out fits of rage or hysterics. She does, however, have a bit of a stubborn streak.

One might say Chie fairly accurately embodies her own motto of “Don’t think, feel.” She’s not dumb, but she doesn’t always take the time to think things through rationally, especially when it comes to her friends. (This is in direct contrast with Souji, who seems, for the most part, fairly level-headed - perhaps the most level-headed person in all of Inaba.) For example, when on the mission to rescue Yukiko Amagi, Chie takes off on her own, heading into the fog basically unarmed. She’s not overly reckless, necessarily, she just allowed her focus on one thing - saving her friend - to take precedence over things like her own safety. It’s not unheard-of for Chie to act in a self-sacrificing manner, either. During the events toward the end of her Social Link with the Protagonist, she steps in to stop a group of bullies from harassing another child in the shopping district, and offers herself as a willing target for their physical violence instead - a pretty gutsy move. In battle, she’s even known to sometimes knock Souji out of the way of a particularly critical blow and take the damage herself.

Chie despises bullies, and seems to have a very strong sense of justice; she’s a walking example of Lawful Good (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/LawfulGood). She genuinely wants to protect people, especially those who are younger, weaker, and oppressed, and she’s fiercely protective of her friends. By the end of the game, this intense desire to protect people leads to Chie choosing to pursue a career as a police officer after high school, under the direction of Detective Dojima, Souji’s uncle.

Chie is also an extreme martial arts enthusiast, to the point where at the beginning of the game, when Yosuke returns a borrowed martial arts film DVD broken, Chie chases him down and gives him a very critical kick to a very sensitive area over it. She spends much of her free time training, and even uses martial arts tactics in battle. One of her other great loves is meat - steak in particular - but she is a terrible, terrible cook. Yosuke dubbed her cooking “Mystery Food X” for a reason.

Chie is able to summon something called a Persona, which is basically a manifestation of various facets of her psyche. Chie’s social link with the Protagonist (Souji Seta) has been maxed (friendship route); her initial Persona, Tomoe Gozen of the Chariot Arcanum (http://megamitensei.wikia.com/wiki/Tomoe_Gozen), has evolved into Suzuka Gongen (http://megamitensei.wikia.com/wiki/Suzuka_Gongen). Suzuka Gongen casts higher physical attack spells than Tomoe, along with the same lower-level ice spells; blocks ice attacks entirely; and unlike Tomoe, is not especially weak to fire attacks (or any other types of attacks, for that matter).

Ouka Midarezaki (1/3)

[identity profile] meganefather.livejournal.com 2010-02-20 11:12 am (UTC)(link)
Player Name: Albiel
Character Name: Ouka Midarezaki
Canon: Kyouran Kazoku Nikki

Background: ((I’m taking this section out of my app for NW. Hope that’s okay.))
Ouka's parents died when he was three years old. Many characters would be traumatized by such an event, but Ouka got over it after joining the Great Japanese Empire's Paranormal Phenomena Bureau of Measures at the age of seven (Yeah, I guess agencies in that universe don't really require prior experience. Or puberty, for that matter.), where he met Shiruku Kirisaki, also known as 'Shinigami'. Though their first encounter involved an unhealthy amount of punching, they eventually became good friends. It could definitely be said that Shinigami developed feelings for Ouka during this time (Even if she claimed to not love anyone), though Ouka only returned them in the form of constantly going on, for lack of a better term, friendly dates with her.

Flash-forward twenty years. Ouka is now Squad Captain of the... do I seriously need to write the organization’s name again? A-Anyways, he is intensely dedicated to his job and has a sense of justice that stops a random catgirl from stealing food from a fruit stand. Except, the catgirl, Kyouka, wasn't a random occurrence at all; she was waiting for Ouka to appear so that she could begin an operation Ouka's organization was planning. They never really state why it had to be Ouka. Apparently, nobody told him about it either, probably because the Bureau is filled with jerks.

Anyways, a basic summary of the plan is to gather all the descendants of a monster called Enka, each one of them holding the possibility of one day destroying the world, putting them in a family and observing which one is the most likely to snap and go all anti-Christ. Each one of this family members, save for Ouka, had their full name changed to something ending with '-ka Midarezaki'. Among Ouka's 'sons' are a cybernetic Predator-like killing machine (Hyouka), a lion (Teika) a jellyfish (Gekka), an innerly depressed girl (Yuuka), and an openly gay man that is attracted to him (Ginka). He’s also forced to marry Kyouka, who has a completely different personality from his. So, yeah, you can kind of see life kicking Ouka on the face (Not always metaphorically) for a great part of the show.

The rest of his part in the show is Ouka pretty much going along with everyone's schemes and problems. One thing he remains consistent on is not allowing any member of his family get hurt, going to the extent of beating a mad scientist, staging a heroic rescue and taking down a mafia family for them. He also takes on the role of father more and more as time goes on, stopping his dates with Shinigami (But still remaining her friend (Even though Shinigami really, really tries for him to be more than that)) and going on vacations with them. He also drops the Japanese honoratives for all of them (Except Chika, but she came later), which is really something when you consider he still uses them with Shinigami, a friend from twenty years ago. At the end of the series, an alien girl called Oasis falls in love with Ouka, which puts him in a very complicated position. This problem makes his family start losing their trust in him, despite Ouka not returning Oasis's love (at least not in a romantic way). The issue is quickly resolved when Oasis returns to space. At the very end, Kyouka leaves the Midarezaki household so she can search for her original home, though Ouka willingly sees her off and, holding absolutely nothing against her, says that her true home will always be with her family. It can be safely stated that Ouka kept taking care of his family after Kyouka left.

Player Name: Kyle
Character Name: Chris Ramirez
Canon: Kamen Rider Dragon Knight

Background: http://kamenrider.wikia.com/wiki/Chris_Ramirez

Setting Information: An alternate Earth connected to a dimension called Ventara the world behind Earth's mirrors, where humans have the ability to became powerful fighters called Kamen Riders. More info is located here:

http://kamenrider.wikia.com/wiki/Kamen_Rider_Dragon_Knight

Portal Location: The door leading into Kit's appartment.

Personality: Chris Ramirez is first of all, a soldier through and through. He is someone who has no problem taking orders from people regardless of age or gender or anything else. He does hoever have trouble giving orders if he was put in such a situation. Being from a family of marines through four generations, has given Chris a bit of no confidance in his own abilities and has given serious doubts about himself. Generally soft-spoken, he rarely speaks his mind about subjects unless questioned. He considers his asthma a liability of himself on the battlefield. That isn't to say he's not brave. On the contrary, he has no fear of battle when he becomes Kamen Rider Sting and is a tad reckless when confronted by enemies. He tends to look last and act first, and considers how people act to be the most important thing when judging others.

He tends to jump the gun sometimes, and when he deals with other military types like his father, he'll rather meekly fall in line. He is rather intimidated by large problems as he can get rather stubborn when he thinks he's right. Chris is very loyal when you get to know him, and he trusts what few friends he has completely. He's also a bit naive and innocent when it comes to military figures like his father or when Xaviax posed as a government officer, in his eyes they can do no wrong. Not surprising when he has been trained in the marines and this has likely been hammered into him throughout his life.
Reason for Joining: Chris did it willfully to protect his friends and home world as well as other worlds.

Position Desired: Agent

Point in Canon: The very beginning of episode 18, The Brothers Cho as Chris leaves Kit's appartment.

Notes: Chris has a very severe case of asthma.

Player Name: Red
Character Name: Yosuke Hanamura
Canon: Persona 4

Background: I once got extremely bored and wrote out a very long history (http://innerdiscofrog.livejournal.com/530.html#cutid2) which covered the Yosuke parts in anal detail, reasoning that if I’m going to app into some of the more history-heavy games I might as well get it over with while I’m in the writing mood. Yes, my job can be very slow sometimes.

Setting Information: Megaten Wiki (http://megamitensei.wikia.com/wiki/Persona_4), plus I’m...what. #5 or #6 to app P4?

Portal Location: Yasogami High School first floor men’s bathroom, second stall in.

Personality: I tl;dred a bit about that too! (http://innerdiscofrog.livejournal.com/530.html#cutid3)

Reason for Joining: A few reasons. Part of it is, yeah, sure, helping people. Similar to why he chased after the murders: at first it was because Inaba is that boring, but then it was because people were getting hurt and they were the only people who could stop the murders.

Part of it is because Inaba really is, even if he’s grown to like it more than he’d have expected, just that boring. There’s just...nothing to do and after Souji left it just feels...weird.

And part of it is...dude. Alternate worlds. Flying through space! Piloting giant robots! Who the hell would pass THIS up?

Position Desired: Agent!

Point in Canon: Post true-ending by 48 hours, give or take a few.

Notes: Now that I’ve turned this in, the world is bound to end.

Sample Post: Scorched intro (http://community.livejournal.com/scorched/43691.html), another Scorched thread (http://community.livejournal.com/scorched/72140.html), and we didn’t get that far but details...King’s Game (http://community.livejournal.com/deadliestcrack/900.html)

Roxas Application - Part One

[identity profile] runawayxiiith.livejournal.com 2010-02-23 08:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Player Name: [livejournal.com profile] umiyuri
Character Name: Roxas
Canon: Kingdom Hearts

Background: Roxas is the Nobody of Sora, born from when he stabbed himself with the Keyblade of People’s Hearts to free the heart of his friend Kairi from his body. He was born in Twilight Town and adopted into the Organisation as Number XIII. Roxas was taken under Axel’s wing and became friends with him; when Axel was away at Castle Oblivion he befriended a Number XIV of the Organisation, Xion. The three of them always ate ice cream together, but Xion kept trying to run away. Eventually, she succeeded, so Number I, Xemnas, revealed her identity as a mere Replica of Sora. Angry at the things Axel and the Organisation hid from him, and at Sora (the source of his plight) he ran away.

Setting Information: Setting is Kingdom Hearts; said setting was already added.

Portal Location: Roxas’ portal was located at the Station Plaza in Twilight Town.

Personality:As a Nobody, he lacks a heart and therefore the ability to emote… except that would be a textbook example of such a creature, and Roxas is anything but. He is normally a very calm and stoic individual. He is a hard worker by nature and literally lives for his work, tending not to take breaks to eat or relax, and can only alternate between jobs and sleep. Once distracted, however, these behavioural patterns can be broken – a quiet Roxas will fall to something controlled by anger if it’s revealed something has been kept from him, or if death is staring him in the face.

For Roxas, thinking comes naturally unless he’s enraged. He has come out of his Organisation time a smarter individual, with keen observational skills drilled into his head by his original tutor Vexen. Still, if he’s feeling cocky enough he’ll let some attitude leak through. He doesn’t take to nicknames very easily, and boasts a little.

Roxas realises that as a Nobody he can never be equal with a regular human being, and so tends to stay out of their way. However, he often finds himself watching other people with great curiosity. It hurts to be left out… so when with friends, which in his mind means ‘people who gather to eat ice cream, and laugh at things when it doesn’t make sense’, he often emulates a human without thinking. Being a person is something he wants more than anything (and he’d like to have Xion with him when he becomes one).

At recruitment, Roxas is currently trying to find Xion and Sora, and will probably only be calmed down if assured Xion is safe.

Reason for Joining: He was looking for a way out. He entered the portal because he thought Xion might be leading him to somewhere safe. Anywhere is better than The World That Never Was at this point.

Position Desired: Agent.

Point in Canon: Roxas is taken from canon at Day 357 of the game Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days, just before the Xion boss fight.

Notes:
-Roxas already comes with a Keyblade, but since Sora’s using the Kingdom Key, let’s hand Roxas the Rejection of Fate+.

(WARNING: The last five Wikis contain SPOILERS for all five cases of Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth!)

Setting Information: http://aceattorney.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Universe

Portal Location: District Courthouse

Personality: Ever since the DL-6 incident and Yanni Yogi's acquittal, Edgeworth has held a passionate hatred for crime. The reason why he gave up on his dream of becoming a great defense attorney like his father and instead followed the path of the prosecutor under von Karma's tutelage was because this newfound hatred led him to a desire of taking an active part of locking up criminals instead of helping the accused get off the hook. For a while, he took this too far -- he believed that it was a prosecutor's job to always prove a defendant's guilt. However, he never consciously used forged evidence -- the only piece of forged evidence he used was forged without his knowledge.

However, this changed after he prosecuted in two trials opposite Phoenix Wright and then was represented himself in trial by his old friend. He disappeared, and by the time he had returned, he had found a new purpose for himself and his profession. No longer was he concerned about getting a "Guilty" verdict in every trial he prosecuted; instead, his ultimate goal became to determine the truth. As a result, he worked with Phoenix in court instead of against him, and even stood in for Phoenix as a defense attorney for the first day of one of his cases. He also gets extremely active in his investigations, as proven in Investigations.

Outside of his behavior in court and his zeal for discovering the truth, Edgeworth has plenty of other characteristics. For one, he's pretty much irresistable to many women. This doesn't limit itself to his physical appearance, either -- the man is an absolute gentleman when dealing with the fairer sex. For example, in Case 2 of Investigations, after he proves beyond a reasonable doubt who the murderer is, a flight attendant he helped out offers him a suitcase she herself designed. Now, this suitcase design was hideous -- and Edgeworth made no effort to hide his disgust with the design earlier -- but he accepted it nevertheless, because, as he put it, he could not refuse such a gift from a woman. This also extends to little girls -- Edgeworth once states that making a girl cry should be punishable by death.

The thing is, Edgeworth has little to no libido. Think Sherlock Holmes levels of libido (or lack thereof). He's capable of resisting feminine wiles in court (April May and Dahlia Hawthorne are two particularly egregious cases, given that they captivate every male member of the court), and he tends to miss it when women start developing feelings for him (such as Lauren Paups). You could also make the argument that he's repulsed by women who come on too strongly to him, but the only time that ever appears is with Wendy Oldbag, who is...not very desirable, to say the least.

Edgeworth also tends to play the straight man a lot. But let's face it, when you live in a world with a character cast as kooky as the one in the Ace Attorney series, any semblance of normality is going to make you look like the straight man. It doesn't help that his most frequent companion is a bumbling detective who has a weak stomach for blood and shows off his gun to little girls to cheer them up, or, failing that, a whip-happy perfectionist tsundere. So we get to see him snark a lot. We see even more snarking in Case 5 of Trials and Tribulations and in the entirety of Investigations, because we get to read his inner monologue. By FAR it's at its most egregious when he interacts with either Wendy Oldbag or Larry Butz, though Gumshoe and Franziska elicit a lot of snark.

Player Name: incardine
Character Name: Sakuya Izayoi
Canon: Touhou Project

Background: http://touhou.wikia.com/wiki/Sakuya_Izayoi

Due to Sakuya's background pre-Scarlet Devil Mansion being hinted at in two directions (or possibly both), much of her past is left to fanon. I am providing my guess as to her background here; it does not represent confirmed canon, only hints and fanon.

Sakuya Izayoi was born to the Lunarian Empire at an unknown time - at least long enough ago to be recognized by Eirin Yagokoro, which implies that she is over a millenium old. She was born with the ability to manipulate time and space (though she didn't discover this until she was twelve, when the ability was found by Imperial researchers). She was quickly put into service with the Empire, and ended up under the agency of Eirin Yagokoro. At some point, she was allowed to leave direct Imperial service, and went down to Earth. Unlike her master, she was not a target of hunting, implying she left in honorable conditions. Like all Lunarians, she was able to age without limit - in her case, however, her time control powers stunted her growth, leaving her appearing to be around seventeen or eighteen by human standards.

A long gap in the record stands here, until the seventeenth century of Earth, where she quickly grew to prominence as a hunter of vampires and other supernatural creatures, using her time control, combined with her talent for throwing knives, as powerful weapons for facing even mighty creatures of the night. This persisted (with her regularly changing identities to avoid her Lunarian nature coming out, but was a fairly successful hunter for a very long time...

... Until her encounter with Remilia Scarlet. It's not known precisely why, nor how events went the night in question, but Sakuya wound up swearing herself to the service of the vampire family. It is known that Remilia can manipulate people's fates, and may have sealed Sakuya's fate to gain control over her. Some beliefs in vampires allow for other means of gaining influence, as well... Though it's not believed that these were used, as Sakuya's loyalty does have some limits.

Setting Information: Setting of Touhou Project is already covered fully.

Portal Location: Near the human village (Sakuya ran into it while shopping).

Personality: Ken is quiet and seemingly shy but very smart and rational, but his defining trait is kindness and he has a gentle nature as pointed out by Wormmon , his Digimon partner and Osamu his older brother . He is very considerate and thoughtful. But can be a force to be reckoned with when he wants to. He tends to think thinks through (especially in comparison to his friend Daisuke). He had a sense of nobility and loyalty and is clever. Ken has gained a determination from his adventures with his friends in the digital world.

He has become very close to his family after his experiences and is responsible and obedient to authority figures unless he has a good reason not to. He is extremely empathetic and if given the chance can prove that even without his Dark spore he is bright for his age.

Character Name: Toad Man
Canon: Mega Man Classic

Background: Brief background is brief. (http://megaman.wikia.com/wiki/Mega_Man_4#Story)
I should note that since there’s very little canon information for both the game and the Cossacks, most of this is fanon.

Around the same time Mega Man was busy collecting Energy Crystals for the so-called peace keeping robot Gamma, Dr. Cossack was building his own line of Robot Masters to benefit mankind. Toad Man was built for agriculture use, specifically looking over the drainage systems for the crops but also helping out with pest control and predicting the weather. Whenever he wasn’t needed for his main job, he’d be at Cossack Castle helping Dr. Cossack and his young daughter Kalinka with any tasks needed. This usually meant household duties. Not that Toad Man ever minded. He was happy with his life and convinced things would never change…

Until the day Dr. Wily kidnapped Kalinka and forced Dr. Cossack to challenge Mega Man. Having no choice, Dr. Cossack modified his robots for battle and sent them out to wreck havoc. Being well-aware that he was no match for Mega Man, Toad Man choose a town well-known for its heavy rain and had the sewer flooded in the hope that it would be enough to stop Mega Man. All it did however was slow him down. A forgotten defense system meant Toad Man only had time to fire off one Rain Flush before he was quickly defeated.

Fortunately for him and everyone else, Proto Man’s rescue of Kalinka meant Dr. Cossack could reveal what was really going on, leading to Mega Man fighting and defeating Dr. Wily once again. Despite the madman escaping Dr. Cossack’s name was cleared, and Toad Man and the others could return to their normal lives again.

Setting Information: Seems like this has already been provided.

Portal Location: In the forest west of Cossack’s Castle in Russia.

Player Name: [livejournal.com profile] kuroihikage
Character Name: Hayne Roderick
Canon: Ragnarok Online

Background: Born to a blacksmith couple, Hayne lived a simple life of travelling with his parents, helping them in forging weapons, and goes from cities to cities. Yep, a simple standard life for a kid like him, which also means that he never stays in one place, and hence, not much are long-term friends with him. Though, there is your standard 'one-day' plot that changes your life forever, and being almost killed by a savage monster can change your view in a second when you're dying. Thankfully, a Knight saved itty-bitty Hayne from certain doom, and from that day on, the kid aspires to be someone like that mysterious knight that saved him.

Flash forward 10 year later, 18-year-old Hayne is now a fully fledged Swordsman in training, stationed in Alberta, where his parents decided to settle down and finally build a permanent establishment in the form of a workshop. After 1-2 years of patrolling, Hayne decided to get his parent's permission to travel the world, and does so after getting it. At first alone, he finds kindred spirits joining in his quest to travel the whole world and map all of them. This venture went along well, crossing the forests of Payon, the deserts of Morroc, the mountains of Mjolnir, the floating capital of Juno, the industrial city of Einbroch, the island of Jawaii, the beach of Comodo, all this are not without hardships, for even they has their quarreling as a group, and sometimes even split ups, but in the end, they always stick together thick and thin. Finally, after 2-3 years worth of experience gained and most of Rune-Midgard mapped, they all decided to finally split up for good and pursue their own dreams. Hayne, obviously went for a beeline straight back to Prontera to take the test to become a Knight, and succeeded. However, unknown to him, is that this just the start of everything...

One single day while on a trip back to Alberta, he found a man running to him begging for his help, and being a Knight, he does, and then followed the man back to an appalling site, a village razed down by monsters, blood everywhere, and most of all, a dark-armored male staring back at him with a glint of a crazy smile, at the very least, he looks like him, only more... Ghostly, the sight was only fleeting though, before that apparition disappeared, leaving Hayne with a slew od question. This marks their first encounter, him and this Doppelganger. 3 years after that, Hayne is now one of the squad leader in Prontera's Royal Squadron, and is now promoted to a Lord Knight due to excellent performance in field duties etc. During his promotion party, that Doppelganger of his managed appeared in the bar, and almost laid waste to it, if not for Hayne leaping into action, and clashes blade with him.

Long story short, Hayne defeated him, and it dissipated, leaving a blade on its wake. Grabbing the blade, which is just a simple large katana, he decided to use it for his subsequent assignments. It was not until one assignment though, that he met another one of this doppelganger, this time in the form of a friend. A battle yields him nothing but injuries. From then on, he swore that he'll get those Doppelgangers no matter what.

Gray Fullbuster; Pt I

[identity profile] natsunuts.livejournal.com 2010-02-27 09:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Player Name: Dee
Character Name: Gray Fullbuster
Canon: Fairy Tail

Background: Here (http://fairytail.wikia.com/wiki/Gray_Fullbuster).

Setting Information: This takes place in a world called Earthland where magic is the key in daily life. There are some people who are able to use magic and there are some who cannot. There are extraordinary things in existence such as dragons, demons, steller spirits, and strange looking fish. In comparison to the average Earth world, each city or town has their own guild. A guild is used for jobs so the members can earn money. Sometimes, there are dark guilds which are a complete opposite of the light guilds. Dark guilds go against the law whereas Light obviously don't. Transportation and technology do exist, but they aren't too advance. Trains, carriages, air ships, and boats are in favor. However, computers and televisions aren't in every household. The setting isn't too complex as it sounds.

Portal Location: Fairy Tail Guild: Entrance

Personality:
Gray is a teenage boy full of determination and devotion. Especially to his guild who are ultimately his friends. He cherished them as if they were his own family, because the members of the guild all have something in common and it is about finding a place to belong. He would not let his friends down no matter what happens and will fight for them if he has to. There will be times that he would stop his friends from doing something they will regret later, for example, stopping Leon from cutting off Erza's poisoned arm. He knew there are other means than sacrificing yourself recklessly.

He will disobey any orders if he has to in order to achieve a specific goal. An example would be going to find Leon and stop him from reviving Deliora and he did not care if Erza were to kill him right then. This easily proves how determined he was to get rid of his past and get over his teacher's death. He couldn't bear to carry his guilt any longer. This was his way of doing things and to move on from his past.

However, Gray does have a rather naive and oblivious side of him. It is mostly toward Lluvia whenever she shouts her confessions toward him and it made him confused. Right now, he still does not understand what is behind Lluvia's intentions. Of course, he's afraid of another woman named Erza. He knows that will not stand a chance against her and whenever he's bickering about nonsense with Natsu, she will glare at him and it is enough to make the both of them stop. With Natsu, Gray tends to be sarcastic and overconfident. They would occasionally pick fights whenever they can and cause massive destruction.

Also, Gray has a tendency to be unaware of his random stripping. It's a habit of his back when he was learning how to perform ice magic. Since then, he couldn't stop taking off his clothes unless someone mentions otherwise.

Overall, Gray isn't timid at all. He is extremely outgoing and friendly. Since he is a member of Fairy Tail, he was taught how to respect his comrades and learn to give other people a second chance. His personality is similar to Natsu, but without the hot fiery energy.

Reason for Joining: Gray is a part of Fairy Tail and therefore is devoted and highly dedicated to his guild. Joining this organization and saving lives from the destruction of the worlds is basically part of his morals. He wouldn't let an innocent person die like that.

Interupt her research, and you'll get a fire ball to the face. She will also start to ramble on about how it is made and it's faults for hours if no one stops her.

Though she also has a careing side. Once she gets to know you well, she will act more friendly. She also has a Tsundere personality, and will act shy or nervous if you point out something about her, or catch her off gaurd. She does not show it much, and most of the time the reaction will be a punch in the face, but if its to someone she is friends with, she starts stuttering and blushing.

She also has a thing for cats, and finds them very cute. She sometimes talks in her sleep. More like chants spells in her sleep. and sometimes they actually cast. She also is someone that likes to dish out pain rather then take it, so she will result to violence a lot when someone pisses her off. She really hates perverted comments, and really goes all out on them.

She's not the best cook, and just throws things together. One time, she put a banana between two pieces of bread. She opens herself up more to friends, and gets very shy, flushed, and embarrassed when they comment about her. If someone she is not close to try's to, its either a whatever or a punch in the face.

She is known to tune out everything when she goes into research mode, and start taking notes or doing calculations in her head, even in the middle of a conversation.

She is very close to Estelle, and is best friends with her. She responds very different to Estelle then to the others. Though to someone watching, it could be mistaken for more then that, and I feel Rita does feel that way for Estelle, so that will be coming over to here.

Reason for Joining: Rita is joining for 2 reasons. 1, her love of research and discovery is a huge drive. She see's this as a chance to discover technology that doesn't need to run on Blastia. 2, Estelle is here, and she want's to be near here at all times. She wants to protect Estelle, and she is her best friend... and maybe more.

Position Desired: Agent. That gives her the most chances to see the world.

Point in Canon: This Rita is a few months into Post game.

Notes: Nothing I can think of.

Sample Post: http://famed-mage.livejournal.com/ everything in there.

Player Name: Li-Chi
Character Name: Iono Mito Archeline
Canon: Iono-sama Fanatics

Background: Do you accept TV tropes? (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/IonoTheFanatics)

Setting Information: Iono comes from Earth. Specifically, an undefined, small Europeon nation on Earth. It has very few details, but basically is a small, beautiful, idealized European... let's go with valley, whose major exports are... probably girls love manga, s-class fiction, yuri visual novels, and fashion.

Portal Location: Her private jet flew through one while she was on her way to a vacation in... China.

Personality: Iono is a polyamorous lesbian queen. She leads a charmed life full of wine, women, and regal issue of diplomacy and royal decree that affect the fate of her nation. If you saw Iono outside of work, and it would be hard to miss her walking around trying to recruit women into her harem, you would never guess that she's quite capable of wearing the queenly mask and being a fine, serious, intelligent, prudent, diplomatic monarch.

She just keeps work and pleasure separate. It's not that she has anything to hide, no. If you asked her questions about her to get to know her, well, she has nothing to hide. She's very open about being a happy go lucky, perverse queen who has a harem of conceivably a good thousand women (and counting). There is no gaynst, no subtlety. Iono Mito Archeline wants your beautiful black haired girls, she stubbornly tries to not take no for an answer (though comedically), and she has diplomatic immunity to keep from being ousted from countries for being a rampant skirt chaser and maybe stalker.

She's not relentless in her pursuit though. She geniunely just wants to make as many people as happy as possible, and she believes that she can make you happy if you join her harem! And really? Why wouldn't she think that? You'd get to live in a palace and be around her all the time. Yes, she's kinda vain, and goofy, but despite being a vain, perverted, skirt chasing queen, she's kind, benevolent, and, actually? Doesn't flaunt her status or people; she doesn't think herself better than others.

Just really pretty. And rich. And awesome.

Reason for Joining: It his responsibility as a Queen to protect the interests of her people in this vast multiverse. Also wow there is suddenly a much field to go chase skirts out there than she ever realized.

Position Desired: Councilor. She's already involved in world politics, and she can hardly go around risking her life in the field.

Point in Canon: End of canon; it's over.

Notes: Let's just say the country is Yuritania.

Player Name: Eric
Character Name: Ionae
Canon: The Spirit Engine 2

Background: Ionae isn't EXACTLY a demon, and she isn't TECHNICALLY from hell, but the difference is marginal. She is a political exile from "The Counterplanes", and has been forced into a human body (her true body is really quite horrific.) with wings that are entirely useless. She has spent most of her time as a human avoiding people, which is probably just as well as she's kind of a bitch. The game she comes from is about her getting caught up entirely against her will in a giant world threatening crisis, during which she learns what it means to be human and turns her back on her origins.

Classic stuff, really. Here's the wiki entry, for what it's worth. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Spirit_Engine)

Setting Information: Medea (That's right, the world has a name! You don't have to add another Earth!) is a fairly Earthlike world at first glance. However aside from humans, there are no terrestrial species. The main nation anyone from Planeocracy will be seeing is Lereftia, since that's where the portal is, but the other main world power is Yaegara, which is at war with Lereftia. While Humans are the most common sentient species, they are not the only one, nor are they really dominant. There are, in fact, two others. The Cloud Children are almost entirely enigmatic, and are rarely seen close up. They spend most of their time hidden in cloudbanks, but are very dangerous, and generally avoided at all costs. The Rakari are the overlords of humanity. They have technology we could only dream of and incredible psychic powers that let them rewrite a human's mind as easily as a human might erase a chalk board and put something new on it. So it's a good thing that they are basically benevolent. The Rakari fear humanity's potential, and while they generally do their best to look after us, they also stifle most scientific progress to stop us from growing more powerful than is safe. They are not without reason, as in the distant past, Humanity built a device called the World Eye which allowed one man to kill the vast majority of the Rakari and almost destroy the world before someone sabotaged the machine.

Technology would appear to be late 19th century, with zepplins and airships being fairly new technology. Rifles and artillery cannons seem to be the most advanced weapons availible, swords and such are still in use but are becoming less popular, electric lights are fairly common, but not not used everywhere, cars seems to not exist.

I went ahead and filly out a world form. You can do what you want with it.

Medea
The Spirit Engine 2
Tag: [World: Medea (The Spirit Engine)]

Ability Changes: All powers are represented as magic, but within that framework, you don't have a lot of restrictions
Ability Limitations: Fairly Severe. A very powerful magic user could maybe kill a few people, MAYBE knock down a building, but not much more than that.
Form Restrictions: Humans are the dominant species, but others seem to be not unheard of.
Social Restrictions: Humans in this world are ruled by the Rakari, a race of bizarre aliens who seem to have our best interests at heart, and are usually accepted by the humans.
Warnings: Alien overlords, ancient technology, mimics.
