Application
Application Rules:
-Certain characters canonically have great influence over dimensional travel (such as Yuuko from xxxHolic or one of the Data Integration Thought Entity humanoid interfaces from Haruhi Suzumiya, i.e. Yuki and Ryoko) will have a greater influence in the setting than normal, or are just extremely high-powered and can potentially affect the game in major ways. Playing one often requires some special plot integration, and require a player to have established themselves by playing another character before they will be accepted.
-AU settings are generally allowed on a case-to-case basis, but no more than one of the same character can be a permanent member of Planeocracy. If the AU is significantly different and established (such as the Genderbend of Haruhi Suzumiya) then it is generally allowed, as the characters are different enough from the main source to be distinct. Apping an AU character uses the standard application procedure, but if the AU doesn't meet our requirements, we may deny them on that basis. Here are the qualifications for if your AU is acceptable:
1. Significantly different from the source material. Minor tweaks to history and/or personality don't make an AU different enough to really be worth accepting for us. For an AU to be accepted it needs to have something major different to differentiate it from the canon.
2. Internally consistent. In most cases you'll be coming up with the AU yourself, so you need to make sure it all makes sense within the setting. So, if something changes, the whole setting obviously has to change as a result, and we need to know how.
3. This isn't absolutely necessary, but if at all possible the character will look at least somewhat different from their canon counterpart. This is primarily to help differentiate if we have both.
If you are thinking of apping an AU of a character, please get a hold of all potential castmates as well as any person playing the same character (if this is applicable). This is required for your application to be accepted.
-Original characters are permitted, they use the same application form but require far more detail as far as background and setting. If they are a part of an existing canon, they cannot have any ties to actual canonical characters or visible connection to events (attributing events in-canon to the character that are otherwise unattributed may be permissible but is generally discouraged). As with canon characters, you are limited to two OCs, even if the OCs are from different universes. Planeocracy canon originals can use any of the settings posted in the setting information post that specifically say they are open, and must conform to the general concepts of the world. It is HIGHLY advised to speak to the mod team before making the character, these characters can be rejected automatically if they do not follow the general concepts of the established world.
-You may only have one application in queue at a time. If you would like to submit a second app, you must wait until your first has been processed.
Application Template:
Looked over the community? Brushed up on all 31,561,021 Confuto Ordinatio rules and regulations? Filled out all your forms in triplicate? Looks like you're ready to get that Gate Key! Just fill out the following form and submit it to the Executive Subcommittee of Other-Planar Affairs! That Gate Key should be yours in 5-7 business days!
The following is an alternate form that can be used in place of a musebox sample post. It takes the form of an application and interview as if the character were applying for a job. Respond to the questions in-character, if you or your character doesn't know what they're asking for indicate it in some way. The character can lie if doing so is in character, but indicate they are doing it by writing "[LIE]" before the answer to the question.

Personality: I think a good place to start in describing Ionae is describing where she came from: The Counterplanes. Unfortunately we have very little information about them, but we can piece together the following: The denizens of the Counterplanes are phenomenally powerful. They want for very little, and do not need to eat, or sleep. There seems to be one thing that they want: Power over others. I envision an endless series of fights, alliances, betrayals, and subterfuge with no further goal than to lord as much power over your lesser as you can for as long as you can. Ionae was a powerful figure in this (Holding the impressive title of "Matrijatant Adjudant", whatever that means.), but somewhere, something went wrong. Maybe she backed the wrong faction, maybe she got turned on by her allies. Whatever the reason, she is now trapped on Medea as a human with wings.
Ionae is delightfully callous. This is not because she is a mean person at heart. She's just very very bitter and does not give a rat's ass about humans. She is very upset about her human form, and her exile, and to top all that off, she comes from a world where everyone is immortal and bored. Her thought processes are incredibly alien and disconnected from any kind of human values. That said, being in a (mostly) human body will have it's effect on her thinking, and she will not stay a bitch forever.
Moving onto specifics: She does not like her wings. They get in the way, they moult frequently, and they are only a few feet long; nowhere NEAR big enough to allow her to fly. The best she could manage MIGHT be a kind of half-assed glide, but even doing that she would probably pull some muscles. She finds sleep to be an utterly bizarre and surreal experience, mainly because of the dreams. She is not super experienced with reading people, and has been known to get swindled.
Reason for Joining: With access to C.O., Ionae figures she might be able to get back to the Counterplanes (she won't be able to). Also considered is access to a warm, dry place to sleep.
Position Desired: Agent
Point in Canon: From right at the beginning, before all of that juicy character development.
Notes: I don't think it would be much of a problem, but I wanted Ionae's home plane, the "Counterplanes", to not be able to be reached from C.O.. I imagine the Counterplanes as a set of planes that are sort of incompatible with normal planes.
If this is a problem, then a backup plan would be that if you go to the Counterplane, you don't get a new body, and it is not a friendly place for humans. Barely breathable atmosphere, scorchingly hot, filled with horrible monsters, that kind of stuff. She just needs a reason to not immediately go home. Also, the sheer number of planes might just make it so that she can't FIND the Counterplanes.
