Deep within a hidden facility warded from watchful eyes within Confuto Ordinatio, Archibald prepared for his ritual. On a nearby pedestal was a black jewel of pure onyx, specially prepared to receive a detached soul. A magic circle was drawn around Kyon, who was bound in place, his limbs magically paralyzed.
