Canon Updates

The structure of Planeocracy is such that characters are able and encouraged to return to their worlds and continue with their own destinies. As such, canon updating is frequent and generally painless.

If you wish to canon update your character, post here with the point in time you are updating to and why you are updating. Please try to keep spoilers minimal, you can be vague and we will ask for more information via private information if we feel it is necessary. After posting, a mod will reply. If we approve your update (which will happen at least 90% of the time), you are free to post as updated.

If denied, there will be an extensive description as to why the update has been denied, and ways you can sort it out. Simply respond to our concerns in your next comment and it will be processed as usual. Denial will almost always be attached to major changes to canon, or potentially to events we are planning involving your world (these events will always be cleared with you first, so in theory you should know it's coming).

We ask that you not canon update more than once a month, we may deny your update if you attempt to update too frequently.

Last one:

Soma finally returns to stop the follow of chaos. Julius tries to stop him, being under the impression that Soma already turned evil, so Soma had to beat him up and forced Julius to swear to kill him. Once he gets past the chaos barrier, Soma had to travel in a topsy-turvey dimension to face off the personificatio of chaos itself.

And he beats it, losing his powers and Arikado teleports everyone out of the castle and back to the shrine. After about two weeks of recovering from the ordeal, Soma finds another a gate in the White Horse Shrine. So no more magic, but still has weapon ability.

Update: Now he's at the start of Dawn of Sorrow - while on a trip in Europe with Mina, he gets attacked by a batshit crazy priestess of cult who's pissed he didn't turn evil so "Good can flourish". Due to her actions, his powers returned.

After that, he sneaks away from his friends to visit a village with a castle that's under the cult's control to try to stop them.

Question: This is breaking sequence, can I have Soma get the ability to turn into a bat now - but it has little combat applications and is mostly for rule of cute?

I don't see why not. Approved.

Canon update to post-Chapel.

Plot signifiance: Soma met the two Dark Lord Candidates who are out to kill him, Dario the pyromaniac pyromancer and Dmitiri the Mirror who can mimic any magic used on him. Dmitiri apparently committed suicide after being defeated by Soma and his soul entered Soma's body but no power was gained by this absorption.

Power Changes: Double-Jump and fall-slowing abilities again, again power to eject himself from his body as an intangible ghost able to go through walls for a limited period of time, summon bats, fling lightning from his fingertips and turn into a Valkyrie as well as normal stat boosts.

canon update to the throne room:

He finds out Dario had a demon sealed to his Soul and uses the Soul of Paranoia to enter the Mirror Realm to sever Dario from Agni, depowering the pyromaniac. The cult leader Cecilia told him to meet in the garden of madness to talk since he proved himself clever and power.

And I made a huge error of omission.

Soma gain the ability to create magic seals, used for opening doors in the Castle and cutting off monsters from their source of energy, he has five seals now of various levels of power.

Power changes: Death's sickles, which summons a bunch of them to fly towards an enemy, the ability to walk on water and breathe under indefinitely.
