Canon Updates

The structure of Planeocracy is such that characters are able and encouraged to return to their worlds and continue with their own destinies. As such, canon updating is frequent and generally painless.

If you wish to canon update your character, post here with the point in time you are updating to and why you are updating. Please try to keep spoilers minimal, you can be vague and we will ask for more information via private information if we feel it is necessary. After posting, a mod will reply. If we approve your update (which will happen at least 90% of the time), you are free to post as updated.

If denied, there will be an extensive description as to why the update has been denied, and ways you can sort it out. Simply respond to our concerns in your next comment and it will be processed as usual. Denial will almost always be attached to major changes to canon, or potentially to events we are planning involving your world (these events will always be cleared with you first, so in theory you should know it's coming).

We ask that you not canon update more than once a month, we may deny your update if you attempt to update too frequently.

Yet another month has passed, so. Canon updating to after Hook bites the dust and Kaine joins the party.

Current Canon Point: Chapter 17, base

-The Greil Mercenaries enter Serenes Forest. Elincia and Sanaki wait on the forest's edge.
-Inside, the Greil Mercenaries encounter Oliver's soldiers twice, and fight their way through them.
-In some old ruins, Ike finds another heron, this one being a young woman (Leanne), who passes out upon sighting him. Oliver spots her and is overcome with the desire to own her. Ike picks Leanne up and carries her for the remainder of the conflict.
-The fighting draws the attention of Reyson, King Tibarn of Phoenicis, and two of Tibarn's vassals. They spot Ike carrying Leanne, and decide to intervene on the Greil Mercenaries' behalf. Oliver is seemingly killed.
-Ike arranges for a meeting between Sanaki and the herons, and Sanaki apologizes profusely and from the bottom of her heart. The herons accept her apology, and as a sign of change, restore life to the forest with their magic.

Chapter 18: Crimea Marches

-Sanaki follows through on her promise and pledges Begnion's support to Elincia's cause. Ike is appointed general of the newly-formed Crimean Liberation Army.
-However, Begnion's soldiers won't follow a commoner. To rectify this, Elincia bestows peerage upon Ike, and Ike reluctantly accepts the title of Lord.

Current canon point: Pre-canon.

-In the middle of winter, Yuuko moves into a town she is... entirely not used to. She can't lift a laden snow shovel, she doesn't know why you would have to sand the road or heat water for a lock, and she wakes up freezing every morning. The relatives she's living with seem nice, at least, even though she can't really remember them.
-The day before winter break ends, Yuuko is out with her cousin, Yuki, who shows her around town and introduces her to two of their classmates. Stuff happens. Yuuko and Yuki get "kidnapped"... by a kid their age who actually just wants them to hide him since he's stolen food from a taiyaki stand. Yuuko promptly marches the guy back to the stand and pays for the food. Yuki thinks the whole ordeal was fun and the two derpcases agree to meet up sometime again, just making Yuuko facepalm... but she ends up agreeing, too.
-Yuuko starts to have fuzzy, confusing dreams about the parts of her past that she's forgotten.

New canon point: Morning of January 8^th.

Adaptation notes: The introduction of Ayumu is lifted from the Kanon manga, which differs from the original and other adaptations by putting Nayuki into the introduction of Ayu. Again, I'll link the Big Long Universe Difference Post (http://variedmemory.livejournal.com/480.html) for clarification.

At the moment, Cecile has just activated the World Beacon of the Spectral Peaks, leaving two left before the final battle with Nevermoore.

I'd like to update her to the point where she succeeded in the final battle and managed to trap what's left of Nevermoore's dark power in a portable sealing jar crafted by Violta and the Firefly Tribe. Her world will effectively be rid of all Black Fog, but at the same time, another group of villains called the Three Dons will start gaining more influence.

The jar will contain one of her story's Big Bads, Tidale, in the form of pure, writhing magic. Cecile will be able to channel the black magic inside the jar to complement her abilities.

Looking back, I totally misread that chapter title but ANYWAY. Canon-updating Marona to the beginning of chapter 10, after losing her necklace to a Putty and arranging for Castile to take care of him while she does jobs.

Monthly update time! Nier's updating just past the events in Facade.

Current canon point: Chapter 18, beginning

-The Crimean Liberation Army marches toward Daein's border. Reyson catches up with them and joins, along with Janaff and Ulki.
-The Crimean Liberation Army attacks the wall of Tor Garen at the Begnion-Daein border. Shinon, who had signed up with the Daein army, is re-recruited.
-Tor Garen falls, and the army marches northward.

Chapter 19: Entrusted
-The Crimean Liberation army runs into another Daein battalion in the mountains, this time accompanied by a platoon of Kilvas soldiers, including Naesala. Reyson persuades Naesala to withdraw from the field.
-The Crimean Liberation Army destroys the Daein battalion, and comes across a storehouse containing gold -- a massive sum of gold.
-Ike takes 50,000 gold and pays Volke with it. Volke then tells Ike the story of Greil's past and the medallion that Mist carries -- Lehran's Medallion.

Chapter 20: Defending Talrega
-The next morning, Mist alerts Ike to the fact that Lehran's Medallion is missing. It is presumed stolen.
-The traveling sage Calill is hired.
-As they approach the Talrega region, the Crimean Liberation Army finds that the floodgates on the river have been opened and are flooding the farmland. They race against time to defeat the wing of Daein dracoknights defending them -- a group of Begnion deserters commanded by Jill's father, Shiharam -- and close the floodgates. They succeed, but the farmland is ultimately ruined and the inhabitants displaced.

New canon point: Chapter 20, end

A new gate has been discovered in the entrance to Ike's tent, in the Crimean Liberation Army's encampment outside of Daein's capital, Nevassa.

I'm canon updating Lockon to the movie, just after the main ELS forces appear. This will be the first of two canon updates, the second occurring about a month from now and involving a job for CO.

Canon update for Locke! He will be updating to the canon point Relm is at, right after Thasmasa is burned by Kefka and the Espers are stolen.

Monthly canon update. This is just past the Forest of Myth now. I need to discuss with you guys also, since it's coming up, the fact that Nier's going to have to change journals within the next couple of updates. How would I go about that?

Chapter 21: Without a King
-The Crimean Liberation Army launches an attack on Daein Keep. In the process, they spring a trap, locking them inside the castle.
-Ike recruits Tauroneo, and old friend of Greil's.
-Ike discovers that the leader of the defense is not Ashnard, but a laguz of the dragon tribe. To make matters worse, Nasir lets her escape.
-When arrested, Nasir tells Ike to go to Palmeni Temple.

Chapter 22: Solo
-Reinforcements from Begnion, led by General Zelgius, arrive. Ike orders them to guard the castle while he goes to investigate Palmeni Temple.
-In Palmeni Temple, the Crimean Liberation Army discovers a group of Daein mercenaries holding the priests hostage. They wipe out the mercenaries without harming any of the priests.
-In their investigations, they find the writings of Reyson's sister, Lillia, which inform them of Ashnard's true goals surrounding the war and how Ike's family is connected.

New Canon Point: Chapter 22, end

Oh, and a new gate will be discovered in Daein Keep.

With the final battle over, Lockon will be canon updating to the end of the movie. The only difference is that Zabanya got pretty trashed, and will take a month to fully repair. So he'll be using whatever mass-produced mobile suit(s) he can get his hands on during that time.

Requesting a canon update up to the end of episode sixteen - Sibling Enmity. Marona is now doing jobs for anyone who requests her aid, who just so happen to include some very affluent people. Sulphur is gaining power in her world and his shadows are affecting more and more islands, the results of which Marona has had to deal with directly for her most recent jobs. Rumors are also spreading that she is on the side of Sulphur and summoning all of this just to get money out of rich persons, but they're being quelled somewhat by Cauldron and Mr. Canary, especially since the former has created an official fanclub for her.

Updating Ran to post Ten Desires, mostly for the opportunity for her to gather information and mull about the potential problems the new arrivals might bring in the long run.

Requesting an update for Atsuro to Final Day, Atsuro's Path. This means that the humans sided with neither Naoya nor the angels and chose to make their own path. With Atsuro and Naoya hacking the main 'computer terminal' of the demon invasion, demons are now under the Japanese government's control. The world is safe, and humanity has passed God's final trial and has been spared his judgment.

What this means for CO is that first, anyone who wants to app Devil Survivor characters from a different path will be coming from an alternate world, and that second, missions can now freely take place in Atsuro's Japan as the Yamanote Circle is no longer blocked off.

It's been about a month, so updating Nier to just after meeting Emil and getting the last Sealed Verse.

On a side note, this marks the beginning of the LAST month where Nier is present in the game using the

dadass journal. As of next update, he'll begin using the

1eyed_dadass journal instead.

Updating to after "Frost Friends" and the School's Out diaries. School's started up again, Frankie befriends Abbey after a series of misunderstandings, Jackson is awkward, Toralei's back from math camp and has resumed trying to take down the Fear Squad, and Spectra is a nuisance.

I'm canon updating Ike to the end of Chapter 24. Gallia is on the Crimeans' side, the Crimean Liberation Army has broken through into Crimea, General Petrine of the Four Riders of Daein is killed, and the Crimean Liberation Army meets up with the troops in Castle Delbray. Ike has also encountered the Black Knight one more time and learned the only way he can penetrate his blessed armor.

Canon update for Nier again. Okay, this is the big one I've been warning you guys about. The following changes are occurring:

- The Shadowlord made his appearance rather violently into Nier's life, destroying part of his village, grievously injuring him, kidnapping Yonah and forcing one of his friends into a temporary heroic sacrifice to keep a particularly nasty Shade from destroying even more of the town.

- Weiss was asked to join with Noir, but through a "power of friendship" speech rejected the merging. This SEEMS like a good thing right now...

- Five years have passed since these events. Nier has hardened as a result. He has also gained two new weapon proficiencies -- two-handed sword and spear.

- All posts from this update on will be made with this journal instead of

dadass. Just let me know when this is approved, and I'll have this account join in.

I'm canon updating Revmir to December 1939.

Winter War is in full swing, and there is now a Portal in a Finnish Forest.

Revmir had changed into his half-beast form, and single handedly destroyed a Finnish unit, getting propped up back home as a Soviet Hero for his slaughter. At the same time a childhood friend of his had "Disappeared" under mysterious circumstances.

Canon updating Marona to the beginning of Episode 18: Battle Plan, when Sienna reveals she is Scarlet the Brave to the world, and general planning to attempt to seal away Sulphur again. During this time, Marona comes up with the idea of having the Putty drop Sulphur into the other dimension they use to store important items, which means bringing along Castile to communicate with them. She will have to discover a new portal at Vapor Island in order to return.

Updating Locke to World of Ruin, post Phoenix Cave.

Approved.

Canon updating Celes to World of Ruin, suicide route, after leaving the island but before running into Sabin.

Since the event's ending, updating to just after reuniting the whole party together.

Canon updating Ike to the end of Chapter 27. The important bits:

-The Crimean Liberation Army has met up with armies from Gallia and Phoenicis. Together, they've taken Fort Pinell, and Nados Castle has crumbled. The joint army is now on the verge of retaking the capital of Crimea.
-Bertram and the Black Knight, two of the Four Riders of Daein, have been defeated.
-Ike now uses the sacred sword Ragnell in battle. In addition to being a powerful weapon, it will never break or dull, and can release blades of energy when swung at a foe from a short distance.
