Permission Post (OOC)

A number of jobs and missions will be assigned randomly or by mod fiat every week, and a number of events may require involuntary participation on the part of the characters.

In this thread, feel free to respond with a specific character journal if you have any requests pertaining to worlds you want or do not want your character to visit, or things you do or do not want to happen to your character.

The purpose of most of these involuntary jobs is to put your characters in situations you, the player, would like to place them in but they themselves would never agree to. Obviously, if we can at all avoid it, we will not subject any of your characters to things you do not wish to deal with or will make you uncomfortable. Thus, respond here, with a new comment for each character you play, and let us know if there are things you want or do not want happening.

In addition, several characters have special capabilities that merit their own threads. By appending the [permission post] tag to an OOC post, players are encouraged to describe the abilities in detail and see what players are OK with what happening to their characters. You can find all permission posts here.

To be boring, I would honestly like to keep stupid, humiliating jobs for Vimes to a minimum. It just doesn't seem right to have him working as a fast food employee or stalking a lost cat. That's what subordinates are for.

Do anything to this guy. He has a ton of karma coming to him. The last thing he wants to do is go home, but for character development purposes, forcing him to do that against his will may be good for him!

Embarrassing fanservice missions for Kusuha, plz.

For Souji, you can literally have him do anything. Randomly sticking him with Adachi is a plus too, for a) stalking Adachi and b) contrasting their reactions.

Since she tries SO hard to be a normal girl, something like heavy construction or some other "manly" job would probably make A-ko cry (in an entertaining way).

Honestly, you can throw pretty much anything at Chun-Li, though anything unprofessional would be more amusing.

Stupid crap can happen to Katina, just not exceedingly often.

Embarrassing crap, though, go ahead.

And if you assign more than one required agent, try getting Katina on dramatic missions with people she's making friends with, like Kusuha or Konata.

[identity profile] wontbeamemory.livejournal.com 2010-01-23 06:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Lockon: I'm up for the occasional stupid mission for him -- just not too much.

Squall: Go ahead and embarrass him and/or put him through stupid jobs.

Both: I'd like to avoid genderbending, and like Katina, try to get them to go on jobs that include people they're befriending. Especially Squall -- it'll help speed up the otherwise-slow befriending process significantly for him.

Ran is pretty much open to anything. She does, after all, domestic jobs, fighting jobs, AND humiliating jobs, and all entirely under the same person. Huz-ZAH.

Kyon's jobs, obviously, should be largely kept out of the realm of requiring high combat skills, but his deductive reasoning is as such that he can handle more investigative stuff. Also note that if he ends up in the Genderbend world, he is probably going to have to come up with a pseudonym, because he more than anybody would pose a potential exposure risk.

[identity profile] mybatisasword.livejournal.com 2010-01-23 07:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Yamamoto should be up for anything that doesn't involve piloting or flying or anything of the sorts. Maybe if he's supposed to be aboard something he'll go with it, but otherwise he can't be much help. He doesn't even know how to drive.

Tron is up for pretty much anything, as long as it's not hand to hand combat related. Obviously she's not the greatest fighter and such, without the Gustaff. Feel free to embarrass her with cosplay or whatever other tasks!

B.B. is available for anything you can throw at her, yup.

I'd like to avoid having utterly demeaning jobs (like working at Nasty Burger) handed to Raidou, though I'm a-ok with embarrassing him.

Kaito is right now not a fighter, and still rather naive, I'd like to avoid jobs with potential mindfucking until he has some powers, but I'm fine with embarrassing and stupid jobs.

Yuri - go ahead, he's a buttmonkey, do your worst.

[identity profile] strikingfreedom.livejournal.com 2010-01-25 04:04 am (UTC)(link)
Kira, being a good boy, is up for almost anything.

[identity profile] not-a-twin.livejournal.com 2010-01-25 05:02 am (UTC)(link)
Luke: Is pretty much up for anything and I don't mind embarrassing him.

Etna: Would pretty much go for anything that's fun for her or annoying for someone else.

Missions that Belarus can put her knife to good use are fine. Though, simple jobs such as deliveries, organizing, and such are fine, but no embarrassing. She'd get pissed and would probably want to stab the person who thought of having her do such a task which would be no good. If I choose to get another character up here, then I'll probably have them do the embarrassing ones.

Oh, and having her go into any world is fine too.

[identity profile] infinitetravels.livejournal.com 2010-01-29 02:25 am (UTC)(link)
I'd really like to avoid embarrassing situations with Kino. Anything else is fine. I'm also cool with assigning her dangerous missions similar to the recent village-saving and contractor-hunting ones, since she definitely won't take those kinds of jobs without being forced to.

[identity profile] herbrotherslove.livejournal.com 2010-01-31 01:53 am (UTC)(link)
Anything goes for Lachesis! Unless the game goes like, R and there gets to be uncomfortable sex or violence but I doubt it. >_>

[identity profile] onlyatrainkillr.livejournal.com 2010-02-05 04:36 am (UTC)(link)
Snake would be fine with a certain amount of "Grunt-work" such as cleaning up grounds, but I'd like to avoid stuff that's quite demeaning.

But I'd love it if he's forced onto mission that requires him to cooperate with people, so he has to learn to trust people.

[identity profile] sacred-thunder.livejournal.com 2010-02-07 03:45 am (UTC)(link)
Feel free to put Ky on embarrassing missions, particularly if they involve women who may or may not be drawn to him. Aside from that, though, same restrictions as Lockon.

[identity profile] koji-never-dies.livejournal.com 2010-02-10 08:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Kouji'll be up for anything you wish...! Though, nothing TOO stupid.

[identity profile] unwillingboss.livejournal.com 2010-02-12 01:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Tsuna and Sora can go on any missions.

However. Extra points if you can get Sora to stutter badly for a whole day, this means putting him in a very embarrassing situation.

Feel free to put Tsuna in a dangerous mission to get his leadership to shine, albeit very barely.

[identity profile] big-whoop.livejournal.com 2010-02-16 09:47 pm (UTC)(link)
...It's GUYBRUSH. It'd be a crime NOT to put him into embarrassing and silly situations. Beyond that, it'd be best to avoid putting him into situations where heavy combat is the ONLY solution to a problem; he can fight, but he's nowhere in the league of a lot of people here, and usually finds creative alternatives. So unless you really want your serious combat situation to be resolved via Rube Goldberg device, well.

[identity profile] bravegreen.livejournal.com 2010-02-17 04:26 am (UTC)(link)
Crap I never did respond to this did I.

I'm alright with Marona being on pretty much any kind of mission. The only exception I can think of at the moment is anything fanservice-y.

As for Zazie, do whatever. Embarrassing or serious, it's all good with me.

[identity profile] pet-moonrabbit.livejournal.com 2010-02-17 06:27 am (UTC)(link)
There's a lot of situations I don't mind putting Reisen into. Embarrassing/fan service-y, serious fighting, diplomacy-ish (though she's not too good there), not so serious fighting, random domestic housework, etc, are all fine.

Preferably nothing that's supposed to be terribly painful and/or dying, though.

I and Asagi are willing to do anything. For her, she feels this will prove her to be a better main character.

[identity profile] fauxproverbs.livejournal.com 2010-02-20 12:31 am (UTC)(link)
Obviously, Otacon's primary strengths are in computers, hacking and engineering, but he's pretty friendly and will do some jobs and missions, even if they are humiliating. He's not very strong physically so any handy-work should be kept to a minimum.

[identity profile] alwaysf-aithful.livejournal.com 2010-02-22 07:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Chris' skills tend to focus on the combat oriented variety. But he's usually up for anything. So go nuts! It'll be fun putting him into a more asertive role or an awkward/embarassing role.

[identity profile] meganefather.livejournal.com 2010-02-23 07:30 am (UTC)(link)
Anything. I mean it. Even though he tries to be professional, it wouldn't be Ouka if he didn't get roped into ridiculous situations.
