Ability Changes: Magic and Science that ooks like magic flow both from Symphonic energy in this setting. High emphasis on magical technology. Nearly everything in this world is expressed-somehow as an application of the immense examples of Magitech known as the Towers. Magical monsters? Programs executed by the tower. Spells? Same thing. Ability Limitations: Magic is for girls and non-humans only in Ar Ciel. Form Restrictions: Mostly humans only, but there are a wide variety of Gods, near-humans and other creatures that are seen on the periphery of society. Digital life forms can take any form, from the most monsterous to the almost perfectly human. Social Restrictions: The three habitable regions of the world each have their own tone. One has magic users at the bottom of the social ladder, nearly enslaved by normal humans who control the supply of critical medicine and resources. Another region is very nearly the opposite. The third and smallest region has rough equality, but is full of religious nutjobs yammering on about the 'green land'. This is a gross oversimplification and glosses over many political and social differences withing these major regions. Notes: WARNING: Monogamy, strong relationships, Defeat=friendship, Combat Robot Maids, Level 9=marriage, Girls asking you to 'Put it in.', Sea of toxic clouds, Class 5 Apocalypse; Gaia's Vengeance. Additional Information: In previous centuries, the world of Ar Ciel was once like many others. The key difference in this case was the slow development of wave-technology, climaxing in the creation of Reyvateils and the Towers that support them. Unfortuantely, in the fifth millennium the planet's society used its magic to go to war, and utterly destroyed the planet's ability to support human life. Above a sea of clouds, civilization clings to the sides of the Towers, seven centuries after the great disaster. Life goes on in Ar Ciel, even after the end of the world.
