Upon arrival, they discover that the bandits are all laguz. -Either Lethe or Mordecai recruits the swordmaster Stefan. -Upon defeating their leader, Muarim, the Greil Mercenaries enter the Zunanma Ruins, which they had been using as their base. There they encounter a young beorc boy, Tormod. -Tormod tells the Greil Mercenaries that they had been fighting the laguz slave trade in Begnion. While there was a ban on laguz slaves and the commoners obeyed it, the Senate did not. -Ike takes Tormod back to meet Sanaki and get the full story.
