Time flows irregularly at best within Confuto Ordinatio. It exists outside of time, and the gates can literally be set to send you to any particular time you wish (within a certain range depending on the nature of the gate, usually +/- 3 months from the point the gate was entered to the point the world is at in the character's canon). Usually when returning to your world, you default to the point you were at.
