FAQs

How does DW roleplay work, anyway?

It's pretty simple. Pick a character from a pre-existing body of work (henceforth known as canon) or make your own and put together an application. The mods will review it and either ask you for additional information or changes, or approve you. After that, join the communities you are instructed to join with the journal you made for the character you are playing and then you're good to go! You are free to post to the communities for the general actions of your characters, or reply to other character posts. This game is a "community" game, so all activity takes place within the community itself, not the journals.

What are the general rules here?

Pretty standard stuff. Don't god-mod another character without explicit permission, be respectful of each other, check with other people before you launch huge character plots (especially involving injury or death, the latter of which MUST be cleared with the mods as it involves special considerations and reactions), f-lock and warn any explicit content, and don't metagame (that is, don't use out-of-character knowledge in-character).

How many characters may I app?

5 per player, no more than 2 from a single canon. As far as roles, no more than 2 Enforcers and 1 Councilor, or 3 Enforcers and 0 Councilors. The maximum number of characters per player can be extended, and it requires doing double the activity required to pass the activity check with all five of your current characters.

So what exactly is Confuto Ordinatio?

Confuto Ordinatio is the headquarters of a huge, multi-planar governing body responsible for making sure the planes don't accidentally bump into each other or overlap and everyone stays in their own world.

They're not doing a very good job.

What does an Agent do?

Slave labor. OK, OK, indentured servitude. Basically, agents are the loyal, overworked, and underpaid foot-soldiers of Confuto Ordinatio. They toil for meager pay and housing "benefits" to keep the planes intact, all the while conforming to the thousands of petty little rules and restrictions the council comes up with. They are vital to the organization in that they actually know what's going on and usually have some idea of how to fix things or at least do damage control. An agent is constantly on the go, traveling between worlds, solving problems and making things right. Usually.

How about the Enforcers and Councilors?

Enforcers are essentially elevated Agents; a police chief is a good parallel. They tend to be more administrative, putting together teams for larger jobs and adjudicating job distribution. Enforcers can go on jobs themselves, but they usually do so at the head of an Agent team.

Councilors are the upper crust of society. Highly respected and prestigious, they routinely vote on new ordinances and laws to be made within the compound. As such, their votes carry a high price, though a good councilor will not ask too much for their vote, least they appear greedy.

That's awesome! I want to go to this world!

Go right ahead! In Planeocracy, most characters can visit any world that exists in our game at will. Usually it's a good idea to blend in with the natives, identify the problem, solve it efficiently and get out. Unfortunately, after the psychiatric evaluations were axed in the last round of budget cuts, as well as the regular Agent salaries, they'll let pretty much anybody in these days. Confuto Ordinatio has managed to maintain it's secrecy through liberal application of memory wipe technology, but we'll see how long that lasts.

I know our forms may change, what about our clothes?
Coloration would remain unchanged, but generally characters will be outfitted in clothing that would be found in that world to help the agents blend in, though occasionally it does glitch out and leave in clothing that does exist on that world but is not typical for the area.

How does time and continuity work within worlds?

Confuto Ordinatio itself exists outside of time, and you are generally able to visit any time period you wish within a world. That said, events are generally expected to proceed as they should within the canon. While you can create small ripples, you are not allowed to fully change events that have or are supposed to happen. What it does mean is characters can be applied from different points within the canon, although if the character is slated to die or become gravely injured at a certain point, they cannot change that.

In addition, characters can be advanced through their canon pretty much at will, though significant changes should be cleared through the mods for organizational purposes. As characters can return to their world whenever they want and to any time period they want, they can continue to advance their story and progress in growth and development.

How do I pick up jobs?
Earning Platinum is completed totally through commission, after the council voted to axe Agent and Enforcer salaries due to budget constraints. On occasion, specific jobs will be posted and logged by the mods, but otherwise, feel free to make up your own assignments and log them out amongst yourselves. The idea behind jobs is you are all required to do random, often menial things to earn your keep, which gives you something to post about. So be creative!

How do I move up on the corporate ladder?

Bribes. Seriously. These things are always about who you know rather than how well you perform. Advancing in Confuto Ordinatio usually involves standing out and getting in good with enough councilors to get a promotion bill proposed and bribe it through.

I want to make laws! How do I make laws?

If you yourself are a councilor or you know someone who is, you can have them propose a bill. Bills can be proposed here, after which a mod will reply with the cost to bribe it through. If you have enough money, you can pass it and it is now law within Confuto Ordinatio, strictly and legally binding as long as someone is watching and knows that the law exists. Depending on the number of councilors you know, you may be able to get a reduction on the cost of bribes, although they are free to demand a different price for their vote instead

How does world integration work?

Whenever a character from a new canon is applied, a gate to their world opens up and is rerouted into Confuto Ordinatio's Hall of Gates. That location is now accessible to all Confuto Ordinatio Agents, who can travel there at will through use of their Gate Keys. When posting from a world, simply apply the tag to your post in the community so we know where it's going on. Worlds also naturally impose limitations on the scope and form of your abilities, so powers that work in one world may work differently or not at all in another.

Can I app an OC?

Of course! OCs are welcome, although there are some rules. OCs that are part of a pre-existing canon world cannot come in with any relationships with a canon character, and OCs from a player-created world must have enough information on their world for us to integrate and the player who created the world must be willing to allow other OCs to app into their pre-established world if desired. OCs can also be tailored to the setting and be residents of Confuto Ordinatio, so long as they're made within the general feel of the game.

If you wish to app an OC from someone else's original setting, you MUST contact them and get permission.

Can I app more than one version of a character?

AUs of characters are permitted on a case-to-case basis, and versions of characters from different timelines are prohibited. With AUs, canon or well-established AUs are generally permissible, whereas player-made AUs require additional evaluation. Furthermore, there should be some visible difference between the AU and canon character, and any player-made AUs also require approval from the player of the canon version of the character, if applicable.

Do canons with different continuities count as an AU to each other?

If there's a severe difference such as between Sailor Moon and Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon or between Metal Gear Solid and Metal Gear Acid, yes. Of course, canon alternate universes do count as AUs (e.g. The World Ends With You's 'Another Day', Code Geass' 'Nightmare of Nunnally').

Can I app a crack version of a character?

No. While the game is generally intended to have a light feel, there are certain standards it holds itself and its players to. Crack versions do not fit into this criteria and are banned.

Can I app a character and take their history from another RP or dressing room?

No. While it might make sense to some degree, it's simply too hard to decide case-by-case whether or not it'd work with the game, so it is not allowed.

Can I app a character who previously dropped or idled out?

Of course! ICly, when a character is dropped their Gate Key is revoked and they are sent home, with their memories wiped in 5-7 business days. You may reapply a dropped character with or without their memories of having been in Confuto Ordinatio before at your prerogative; the memory wiping is about as efficient as anything else in the organization.

I'm in, but where's my tag?

Generally, a character tag is created within twenty-four hours of the character's acceptance. However, due to the way journals work, it only shows up on the list once it's manually typed in, then it'll automatically fill itself in next time. If it says the tag isn't valid, then ask a mod to see what happened.

Is there an OOC chat?

Yes, there is! It's on AIM, and the title is "planeocracy". If that doesn't work, "planeochat" has been used sometimes due to recent troubles with AIM. If you can't get in on your own, feel free to contact one of the mods and ask them for an invite.

I want to ask something you didn't answer here.

Go right ahead! Simply reply to this post with your question and we will answer it in 5-7 business days!

Maybe even sooner!

I am interested in getting creative with how Ami got tangled up with the planeocracy, so I just wondered if it 'works' or is too game-breaking in terms of IC secrecy:

* First, her world has a lot of experience with other dimensions and worlds thanks to a fandom dressing room where AUs are counted as different worlds and so are even separate canon ones unless specific muns decide their characters are from the same. So, I thought it'd be interesting if researching the problem of these 'randomly' colliding worlds led her to find out about the planeocracy and ultimately apply. (This is not entirely outside the realm of her intelligence/research/study capabilities, but again I don't know how perfect the game background secrecy is assumed to be.)

* Second, I am interested in perhaps saying Ami tried to apply for something higher than agent (technically she'd be a good choice being the Princess of Mercury, part of the ruling council of her Earth, a brilliant and methodical mind, etc.) but that she'd quietly be blocked somehow by Kunzite (head of said ruling council), whose point in wanting her to do this is for her to learn to wield authority again from the ground up.

And third question: Going back to the dressing-room worlds, and I play her at dear_multiverse some: From an IC standpoint would some of her general world-traveling be counted towards the agent quota of world visits, or are those only from visiting them 'for work'?

tl;dr: How perfect is IC secrecy about the planeocracy assumed to be? And does other general world-hopping count towards agent quotas, or only world-hopping 'on the job'?

[identity profile] the-overseers.livejournal.com 2010-01-05 08:10 pm (UTC)(link)
1. That sounds reasonable, a character with enough abilities could conceivably have been looking into the problem before.

2. Again, that's also fine. Feel free to specify in the app how you are looking to handled.

3. Dressing rooms and other games we aren't actually counting towards canon of the characters in the game since it's really hard to manage and adjudicate, and the "quota" mentioned in the rules is actually technically impossible to meet, intentionally so since the bureaucracy is dense and stupid.

As far as the secrecy of Planeocracy, it's... OK. They make a definite token effort to keep it under wraps but a marginally intelligent character can USUALLY figure out something's up if they try hard enough.

Can characters stay in their home worlds between jobs; i.e. they're not trapped/stuck?

[identity profile] the-overseers.livejournal.com 2010-01-05 08:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Generally yes.

[identity profile] kyonko-narrates.livejournal.com 2010-01-07 07:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Okay, not applying for a couple months due to a hectic schedule, buuuuut.... when you say "no more than two versions" in the application, does that mean that an AU and an OU of the same character can't both coexist or just two canon versions of a character from different points in time?

[identity profile] the-overseers.livejournal.com 2010-01-07 07:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Two canon versions from different points in times or the like. Kyonko, for example, is explicitly allowed pretty much without question since it's an established AU with a distinct difference from the canon version.

[identity profile] kuroihikage.livejournal.com 2010-01-08 12:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Right, so, a question.

Should a 'World' consists of much smaller 'Worldlets', like Kingdom Hearts, then, is the canon is still appable, or not?

[identity profile] the-overseers.livejournal.com 2010-01-08 05:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Yep!

Hey, two quick questions:

1) Thinking of apping Konata, but this is also a general question for similar characters: how does a character's IC/established knowledge of other canons work here? For instance, Lucky Star basically pimped The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Full Metal Panic!, and Sgt. Frog 24/7, AND still managed to stuff in references to other series left and right; under ordinary circumstances, Konata would (at the very least) recognize certain other characters, and it'd be kind of weird trying to play her without that kind of knowledge under her belt.

2) Also, just to clarify from the job section:

"Any character is also able to post up a job listing. In order to do this, fill out the form below and post it here. Those characters who wish to take the job should comment below the original poster's comment. That player is then responsible for logs."

Does "that player" refer to the original poster, or to the character taking the job?

[identity profile] the-overseers.livejournal.com 2010-01-11 08:37 pm (UTC)(link)
1) Generally we're fine with characters knowing about other canons if it's in character for them. Say if we have somewhat of an omnipresent character or someone like Konata who is a complete otaku. We do ask, however, that you keep in contact with those players whose characters she might potentially troll, just so that you're not stepping on any toes there. And honestly, the multiverse is HUGE. Having a situation like, "you exist in fiction" isn't too out of the ordinary really. *secretly hoping for an England and a Saber pleasepleasepleasewantlikeburning*

2) Original poster of the job. Sorry, should have been more specific.

[identity profile] herbrotherslove.livejournal.com 2010-01-13 04:12 am (UTC)(link)
A few questions, sorry if I missed the answers somewhere.

1. Would any character be able to know their future before it happens if they are taken from a point someplace in the middle of their canon? Or the general future of their world.

2. What happens to possessions in general? For instance, would vulneraries from Fire Emblem translate to a first aid kit in other worlds? Would a pegasus become a fighter jet in a modern day environment?

[identity profile] the-overseers.livejournal.com 2010-01-13 04:15 am (UTC)(link)
1. They would, if they did the research, know what was supposed to happen, though there's a lot of red tape for that so it's harder knowledge to obtain.

2. Pretty much that, yes. There aren't hard-and-fast rules, you're encouraged to be created and treat things as appropriate.

Hi, I'm thinking of apping Raidou Kuzunoha the 14th and got two questions to ask:

a) since Raidou is mostly a silent protagonist, we have Gouto who pretty much acts like Raidou's voice and his his mentor/helper, that it would be odd if Raidou (who will be speaking, although rarely in game) is going around without his kitty. Is it okay to play both?

b) the biggie. Raidou works for the Yatagarasu, a god-like entity I'm thinking that the Herald will relay that Yatagarasu is ordering him to work as an agent but in general, he's working for the god first and foremost, and Confuto Ordinatio secondary, will there be any change, regulation, etc. as a result of Raidou's loyalty to his world's master?

[identity profile] the-overseers.livejournal.com 2010-01-14 02:06 am (UTC)(link)
a) There are actually a few other characters I know of with much the same circumstances (one of whom I am toying with the idea of apping myself!), and my general stance on that is yes, you may play them as a unit.

b) Confuto Ordinatio expects you to have activities outside of Agent work, much as a College Professor expects you to have other classes and obligations. And, much like a college professor, Confuto Ordinatio ASSIGNS work as if it was your sole driving purpose in life at the exclusion of all others.

I have a question - since the idea refuses to leave me alone - about character age limits.

I realize that playing a young character generally puts a limit on what can be done, but in my case... well... a young Riku would actually have a lot of fighting potential. So, since I feel the need to kill a game like this with cute - and Riku can totally just go around killing blob monsters, fighting things, and having the time of his life - I was wondering if apping a kid (5-7 is what he would be).

In the case of Riku, even if he's five he has the capability to learn magic as well as some almost abnormal strength and the latent ability to wield a keyblade, even if he's bitty. With a Sora here already and a Roxas coming in, he'll have a teacher for the keyblade stuff and I'm pretty sure he'll be fine as far as taking care of himself goes. (He and Sora row a boat to the island on their own every freaking day when they're four and five for godsakes.)

Its just an idea, and I think a young Riku'd fit into this setting like he was born to be here, but if you want to put an age cap on, I'm also fine with apping an older one :3 Like I said, I just had the urge to kill everyone with the cute.

xD

[identity profile] the-overseers.livejournal.com 2010-01-16 03:34 am (UTC)(link)
If you really want to I can see it working, Confuto Ordinatio lacks the oversight to really object to child labor. That said, there will likely be limits on the jobs he can take.

I WILL say that I'd think carefully about apping him like that, it might be fun at first but I could see it becoming gimmicky. Further, Sora and Roxas probably SHOULDN'T be teaching him to use the keyblade before the right time, since there are some strict (as far as any rule in this place can be strict) rules on messing with the space-time continuum. Of course, the game does allow for aging-up a character and taking them through the plot with little difficulty (the character simply returns to their world and takes care of some things), so the possibility will always exist.

So I guess the answer is, if you really want to go for it, but it may be a bit restricted.

... out of curiosity, how does training and/or learning new skills (which the character wouldn't otherwise be learning or be able to learn in canon) work?

For instance, assuming that enough time passes and that Konata doesn't run away screaming from the training regiment, COULD utter civilian Konata learn to become, say, a subpar robot pilot (and become able to take on slightly higher level jobs)?

I have a question in regards to AU versions, since I'm rather confused as to the specifics. It's clear that official AU versions (such as the Sakura from TRC and the one from Card Captor Sakura) are allowed, but it's still not quite clear what 'player-made AU' entails.

I see that gender-bent versions of characters are allowed, for one -- so that probably means that versions with physical modifications of some kind are permissible. The character I had in mind came about due to a history modification in his childhood and now I'm not really certain if I can apply him at all, given what I see about alternate timeline characters not being allowed.

[identity profile] the-overseers.livejournal.com 2010-01-16 07:24 pm (UTC)(link)
I'd need to understand the scope, but the general rule of thumb is someone with significant differences to the original canon version, usually physical as well as background.

I'm running on lack of sleep so forgive me if this question seems really stupid. XD I'm guessing it's a "Yes" from what I've read but I want to make sure.

[identity profile] the-overseers.livejournal.com 2010-01-19 09:07 pm (UTC)(link)
You are indeed correct, but the only universes open are those worlds that have been apped in, so as of now Cowboy Bebop and Final Fantasy aren't open. Yet.

Quick question.

What's your policy on signing up for two jobs? I mean, I know that some don't get filled and some do, but would signing up for one and then the other be tolerated? I know it may be a bit of a cheap way of getting more Platinum, but yeah. ;;

[identity profile] the-overseers.livejournal.com 2010-01-23 07:59 pm (UTC)(link)
For now it's all right, just so long as there's a good ratio between jobs to sign up for and people to sign up for them. This may change in the future as we get more players, so everyone gets a chance.

[identity profile] knifeofoccult.livejournal.com 2010-01-26 05:52 am (UTC)(link)
I've noticed in some of the apps that the mod chooses some to be an enforcer or councilor while the others become agents. So how does that work exactly? Do you take the personality of the character being applied for into consideration or is it something else?

Just a bit curious.

[identity profile] the-overseers.livejournal.com 2010-01-26 05:57 am (UTC)(link)
If someone says they want a different position in the notes section, we'll usually grant that unless there's a reason not to. We're actually going to be adding a "rank desired" section to the app where people plead their cases, but for the time being, unless you say something in the app, your character will be an Agent by default.

[identity profile] detdojimer.livejournal.com 2010-01-29 12:39 am (UTC)(link)
Adding on to [livejournal.com profile] knifeofoccult's question... If they're already an agent, how might they go about becoming an enforcer? Dojimer's interested.

[identity profile] the-overseers.livejournal.com 2010-02-03 06:00 am (UTC)(link)
I intend to have concrete rules for that in the next news post!

Another question, can Plat be converted into the currency the character uses in their world? Or is that not possible?

[identity profile] the-overseers.livejournal.com 2010-01-31 12:17 am (UTC)(link)
I think we mentioned it in the market or the accounts section, I can't remember which, but 1 Plat is enough for a single trip and 10 Plat is enough for a number of extended trips to a world. You cannot, however, convert other world currencies to Platinum.

Hiya. Just a quick question in regards to the apps, like her brother, Chika has a partner digimon in Digimon Savers. But at the end of the series all the digimon (and Masaru) go into the Digital World. In addition, I'm also playing Chika from around/after the epilogue timeframe, which is about 5 years after the rest of the series.

So, for the app history, would I be allowed to slip in a little fanon to both fill in the gaps and somehow have her be reunited with her Piyomon before the game starts, or would that be a no.

Oh, and for the sample post in the muse box, do the content of the posts need to be things that would happen in the universe of the game or could the samples be anything?

[identity profile] the-overseers.livejournal.com 2010-02-10 03:16 am (UTC)(link)
We're OK with a bit of fanon so long as it makes sense in character and is mentioned in the application notes.

Any sample works, the sample requirement is to see if you can play the character so it doesn't need to be too setting specific. Ideally though they'll be in possession of everything, if it's a memory loss or AU or something it might be somewhat questionable and case-by-case.

What are your rules on PBs for original characters? Do they have to be 3D? 2D? Self-drawn? Anything goes?

[identity profile] the-overseers.livejournal.com 2010-03-05 07:30 am (UTC)(link)
Preferably not something too recognizable as a character we have/could be apped, but in general use your best judgement. If the PB is a character someone wants to app, we may have to try to work something out.

[identity profile] ohsosorry.livejournal.com 2010-03-19 09:59 pm (UTC)(link)
What about characters that don't have a defined personality, backstory, that sort of thing? I'm thinking of characters like Mass Effect's Commander Shepard, in which there's a canon timeline of events, but everything else is more or less up to the player - appearance, backstory, general personality, that sort of thing.

Would it require about the same level of detail as an OC, explaining where we pulled such information?

Let's use the correct mod account this time

[identity profile] the-overseers.livejournal.com 2010-03-19 10:10 pm (UTC)(link)
For someone like Shepard, the fact that he has fairly defined personality options (Paragon or Renegade) helps, but it would need to be pretty decently detailed. It'd be kind of like an OC but not QUITE as detailed.

[identity profile] knifeofoccult.livejournal.com 2010-03-22 02:23 am (UTC)(link)
I'm considering apping one of the witnesses from the Ace Attorney series, but we all know that most of the witnesses from the series usually only appear in about one case with not much background and sometimes with personality as well. Would it be okay to use what was already shown in the episode even though there's not much about said character? (In this case, I'm talking about Cammy Meele from AAI)

[identity profile] the-overseers.livejournal.com 2010-03-22 02:49 am (UTC)(link)
Sure. If it's not long enough, I suggest extrapolating and expanding to bring it up to speed and ensure they're a fully fleshed-out character.

[identity profile] snake-in-a-box1.livejournal.com 2010-04-10 03:02 am (UTC)(link)
Okay, so I've been considering applying for this thing. Sounds like a lot of fun, and I've never done any kind of RP before.

Anyways, would it okay to have as my character Kirby and Captain Waddle Doo? (From the anime) I was thinking that since Kirby can't really talk, he would either communicate through drawings or Captain Waddle Doo would talk for him. I just wanted to kind of confirm it before I go and write the application.

Thanks.

We do generally allow characters to bring companions if they are complementary, so is this a duo that is always together or do they tend to be separate?

Would a religious figure (specifically Lucifer) from a cartoon canon be acceptable ? Considering that canonically his powers can be limited to 'whatever amount of powerlessness suits the situation'.

Yes. Confuto Ordinatio's soft limiters tend to be subtle, but anything obviously broken would definitely be no go.

Hi, I'm trying to write an application to the game, but I have a few questions to ask. Okay, it's actually a lot of questions.

- The character I'm considering dies a bloody, karmic death that coincides with the complete demolition of all his plans and everything he had ever worked for. Obviously, I'm pulling him from a point in time much earlier than that, but I'm still interested in "updating" his point in canon as he regularly goes back to his world and executes his plans (i.e. as the plot of the canon advances.) If this isn't allowed, then the next question I'm asking is moot, but here it goes: after allowing the canon to advance a few times, can I "freeze" the point of continuity he's in so that the chain of events that kills him doesn't start?

- Somewhat related to the above: Unless there's a resurrection device that I'm missing, death is permanent, correct?

- More death: Can a character use the "time travel" aspect of the portals to go to their home world after their death in canon?

- Death 4, the Revenge: if a character does> end up going through their death in canon, would they seem to have "disappeared" to their coworkers in Confuto Ordinatio?

- If a character was apped as an Enforcer/Councilor, in-universe-wise would they still have had to start out as an Agent?

- Do Councilors do any field work?

- Can portals become destroyed/unusable after certain points in the timeline? Most major places in canon end up going BOOM! eventually.

- One of the exceptions I'm thinking as a portal location is a spaceship city...in other words, are mobile locations allowed to be portal locations?

- Are the mods the ones who make the form/social/power limitations for the worlds?

1. You aren't required to canon update and characters who get wind of their imminent demise often, in setting, don't go back and complete the events that will lead to it.

2. Death is not permanent, resurrection is costly and will end with you indebted to a rich and powerful NPC. Confuto Ordinatio does not, however, resurrect people past their time, once you die in canon you are gone forever.

3. Yes, provisionally. If they're supposed to be dead, it tends to be frowned upon but if you aren't being overt about what you're doing you can probably slip through the cracks.

4. Going through your death would probably get you an obituary in the newsletter, so your coworkers would know that people killed you 'cause you're a jerk.

5. You start as an Enforcer or Councilor if we accept the application for that position.

6. They can but it's not required. Councilors are politicians, they sit on their butts all day and vote on things.

7. Usually handled by mod events, but short answer is yes, that can happen.

8. Mobile portals are allowed.

9. Generally we do it, but if you want to give us more information on the subject we would definitely appreciate it.

I just have one last question, but it's an OOC one.

I keep seeing mentions of market/bills/faq revisions and overhauls, and this is leaving me very confused, especially since links to now nonexistent pages are still around. What happened, and where's a good description of the current system(s)?

Basically we've been doing some modifications to the game as we figured out what works and what didn't, so we've been trying to play catchup with altering the user info. I'll give you a quick run-down of how things stand. I've been getting extra hours at work, and my co-mods had been moving so we're unfortunately not as up to date as we had hoped in the FAQs and User Info.

Basically:

Bills: Now at [livejournal.com profile] plane_bills, anyone who joined the community can propose bills, but only Councilors can vote yay/nay on them. Bills can range from requesting an exercise room to begging for reduced paperwork.

Market: Still there, you can buy anything within reason since we decided that keeping track of hard currency made the game not fun for the mods or players.

Jobs: Big jobs are a month to bi-monthly mod-run event (with player help for jobs concerning particular worlds) and is a community-wide task. Players can create what we call 'psuedo-jobs', smaller events that anyone can start, log, and organize with whoever they want.

hope this helps a little, don't be afraid to ask, the worse we do is gum players.
